Check your full order before you leave. We love Alton Village Pizza but it is not the cheapest place and quite a jaunt for us. After the drive the last thing you want is to not get your full order. We ordered a Pizza and a Garden Salad with no Green Peppers or Onions but still had to pay $.75 for extra Blue Cheese Dressing. It was my own mistake for not looking in the paper bag that was taped shut to be sure I received the extra dressing. I called to ask to be credited but because they use a Third-Party collection company for online payments so I was told they could not issue a credit to my credit card. They did say I could come back to get the $.75 (plus tax I am assuming) but by the time I drive all the way back and then all the way back home again (plus wear & tear)... I decided it wasn't worth it. Neither was the $9.50 salad. Nothing but iceberg lettuce a few pieces of cut up cucumber, 3 kalamata olives, 4 grape tomatoes and 1 small pepperoncini (that was some expensive green peppers, onions and no extra blue cheese). When we went to pick it up at the scheduled time, we were passed from employee to employee, each of which said they had no record of our order. We canceled and asked for a refund, they said they would get to it when they get to it. Called hours later to get an update on our refund and they still had no update. We were put in touch with the co-owner who had no regard for customer service, he completely shut us down and was very rude. Eventually we were able to talk to his brother, who walked us through the process. While the brother was nice, they still lack knowledge of the system they use for online ordering. We still have not gotten a refund, and will not be going there in the future. Hopefully they can turn their quality of service around as there is a lot of potential for restaurants...
Read moreWent October 6th after about a 6 month boycott for ridiculous wait times on call ahead orders. Online order. 2 subs 1 order BBQ chicken tenders. Should have checked there, but got home and my sub was missing things, and had things I didn't want. I live about 20 min away, and wasn't gonna spend 45 min to get a new one, so I just tossed it out, and ate the chicken, which was good. Called up asap, the 12 yr old kind who answered the phone couldn't understand that whether I ordered it online or in person THEY still made the sub incorrectly, I got very frustrated, yelled at him, which was wrong, and asked for the manager. Spoke with him, he interrupted frequently, told me he'd refund me for my sub, which I said was all I expected as the other food was good. It's now 13 days later and no refund.
