Tried this place 3 times with relatives because each group wanted Mexican. And I really wanted to like the only Mexican in town. All 3 experiences were unimpressive. First time we had just had a death in family and I was really looking forward to a margarita. Too bad the alcoholic drinks listed on the menu are just for looks.
Tried several menu items over the 3 visits. The chips in the nachos were soggy each time, there was hardly any cheese on anything, the chicken was extremely salty, and liquid dripped out of my chicken tacos every time I picked them up making everything on my plate soggy.
The service - no bueno. The only waitress was not friendly in the least on any of our visits. The last visit when I asked for the bill she very curtly told me it was at the cash register where she was standing. I again told her I'd like to see our bill at the table and she gave the same answer with a scowl on her face. She thinks customers will keep coming back for unwelcome service and lackluster food because its the only Mexican food in town. Not me, I'll spend my dollars at Feed Sack and Alton Cafe where they appreciate you and have good eats....

The steak was the tougher than cow hide, ordered camaroned AL MOJO the beans I requested was just enough to add color on the plate. Chile Verdi no complaints. It is not true authentic Mexican food. I grew up on the border and I know good Mexican food. 3 times bad food is enough for me. I tried. And have Half a mind to open a...

We sat there (only ones in the restaurant) for a bit and then got up and got them ourselves. I had a ground beef chimi, the ground beef was so salty, it burned my throat. Wasn't a pleasant meal. The menu described the sopapillas as a fluffy pastry deep fried. I ordered 4. Nope. Got a flat deep fried tortilla shell with ice cream and candy beads on it.
