The place looks nice and has a good small town feeling.
It took 20-30mins to have the original drink order taken. 2 teas and an orange juice.
The wait staff switched during this time and the new person didn't have information passed to them properly (she couldn't read the other person's writing). After close to an hour our food order was taken, and after it finally arrived we had to ask where our original tea order was and had to remind them what we ordered. Opted not to have the orange juice at this time.
After almost 2 hours now passed, went up to ask about our bill as no one was coming to help us any longer since they only staff one person at a time.
I asked about having our tea bags included as the "included coffee" since we didn't have that after the long wait and weren't offered it.
The restaurant owner refused saying I was trying to get out of paying for tea, and their tea costs more than the coffee.
I asked about getting a coffee to go that was included, and she also refused saying we didn't order our food to go.
She blamed us for not asking for the coffee, stating they didn't have time to ask us if we wanted one with our food order.
She also made sure to say I need to pay or she'll call the police.
This ended up being the worst experience I've had with a restaurant in my life and will never return.

Read moreTook a long and scenic detour to get back to Cedarville and we were looking for breakfast. Friendly greeting when we walked in and we seated ourselves at a nice little table near a window. We looked over the menu and selected a breakfast with eggs, hash browns and bread. Susanne got the B&G. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the hash browns were brown and crispy on the outside. Everything was hot and fresh. Susanne loved the B&G so much she didn't want to share. The bread served with breakfast was amazing. It was white bread but had so much flavor, and the butter just made it better. We noticed the wonderful looking baked goods and ordered a cinnamon roll. What a treat! I know my cinnamon rolls and this one ranked at the top of the list. I also hear the doughnuts are fantastic. Next time we'll probably just go for the baked goods and skip everything else. We ordered coffee, but were disappointed. It was a bit weak and not that tasty. Friendly place with delicious food, we'll be heading to the Country...
Read moreA pillar of this small town.
It's clear that not much has changed about this business since its inception, and I'd argue for good reason; the inside is still decorated like my grandma's old cabin, and the people behind the counter felt just as warm as her. Right after I'd walked in, the original owner came out to help with my order while carrying a plate of cheese breads she'd just pulled. I was already charmed enough by now, and then I saw a book on top of their library that bore an illustration of old significance to me.
All being said, I paid a grand total of $33 for a sandwich, onion rings, and milkshake. Their "Frenchburger" sandwich was large (about the size of a miniature foam football), and everything tasted great, but this treat for one sure surprised my wallet.
Sit down to at least one meal here. Then start building your impression...
