As the name says, a Punjabi family owned restaurant with authentic Punjabi food taste that'll remind you of the home(if you're Indian).
I ordered Amritsari paratha and I can say that's the best Amritsari Paratha I've had in the US. The stuffing had chillies, garlic, cilantro, onion and spices so we'll mixed, it actually tasted like how a Paratha should.
Also ordered mango lassi which had light yellow to white color and not overly orange like most places. It was very good too.
I couldn't pick between Aloo Gobhi and Rajma, so went with Rajma and it was also very tasty and well cooked.
And lastly had to get a Chai to go which was tasty and milkt as well unlike most places that serve watery chai.
Owners were there and asked me how everything was before I was leaving, told them it reminded me of home and they said that's their goal.
Here's a pic of food and the chefs...
Read moreNone of the things we ordered were eatable. Chole was prepared in water, No gravy at all. When complained about the food the staff said "muje to thik lag rahe h" (I feel its prepared Ok)
Later they replaced the chole with mix veg which was even worse. Just boiled vegetables and no spices at all.
When we were placing order the lady didn't even knew what is available to offer. Any thing we asked in menu was not available and she Everytime went in the kitchen to check and said not available.
I felt she was so over worked that she was not even able to keep her eyes open. I had to turn the till to my side and punch in the order..
No owner on site to take care of quality or at least be available to respond to complaints.
I wish I had taken photos to let people to how bad...
Read moreAs a truck driver, finding a place that offers more than just a quick bite is a rare gem. Panjabi Sisters Truck Stop is one of those rare finds. They provide free semi truck parking, free showers, and even free tea for truckers, which is a huge plus after a long day on the road.
I had the pleasure of trying their Chicken Biryani, and it was fantastic. The flavors were rich and authentic, reminding me of a home-cooked meal. The rice was perfectly cooked, and the chicken was tender and well-seasoned. It's clear that they put a lot of care into their food.
If you're a trucker passing through, I highly recommend stopping by Panjabi Sisters. Great food, excellent amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere make it a top choice for anyone...
