Café Aroma — Restaurant in Alys Beach

I actually used to work here so I can tell you from personal experience that while not all of my former coworkers were up to par in general barista knowledge, a good few were fast enough learners that I could teach them a new drink and they'd be making it for you perfectly by their next shift. Our produce was provided by one of the best companies in the area and our staff was shown how to properly store and prepare your food and beverages. I would like to give them 5 stars but I can't do that in good conscience since I haven't been for a little while.

But if it makes anyone feel any better, I can tell which of these other reviews were left by owners, managers, employees, or the family of the owners. Of course they all left 5 star reviews. But as a former employee, I can say without a doubt that this place was still well above average and well worth the price even the last...

Terrible experience. Got there at 10:19 and ordered a breakfast bowl. Took over 25 minutes. The ladies who were there to cook had no personality and were not friendly. That said, they stood around and talked and perhaps someone in the back was preparing the food but there was never an apology nor acknowledgement that it took so long to prepare scramble eggs, sausage, and melted cheese. All we got was breakfast bowl announced and thrown on the counter. We were literally the omly people in the restaurant. Sorry my expectations werent high but all i could think was if one more person was ahead of us we still be there. Highly discouraged from returning. Need to work on business...
