Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Amery

This place is a disaster. I ordered a cake days before, it wasn't there, the truck arrived late, but then I waited another hour as the manager and employees fought over what was needed for other customers. Then she (Manager) yells out at customers, they were wrong about items they didn't recieve.(so he had to walk out cussing and angry at the treatment) I like DQ, but this place has made me NEVER, want to visit again. They made everyone feel like they were a burden for being there. I get there is a labor shortage, but feel a small child could have run this place better. I wouldn't waste your time unless you want the possibilty of a Jerry Springer moment. I did get a senior discount for the cake we ordered, but I still can't recommend...

My girlfriend and I walked in, one of the two workers there immediately glared at us and continued talking to customers instead of being up at the front counter. The other worker was busy with cleaning and fixing the blizzard machine. After we waited a few minutes for worker #1 to get up to the front counter, she took our order, then started telling worker #2 that she needs to clean the rest of the store before the owners show up, she then goes in the back to make the burger my girlfriend ordered. after 10 minutes of waiting, she finally gave us the burger. I mean, it's a Dairy Queen, and it tasted like Dairy Queen. It's always nice to have a fast food restaurant in a convenient location, and so that's what was nice about this place in Amery. The only downside about our visit was the staff seemed a bit cranky, I realize that it was maybe 20 minutes to their closing time, but just because you're tired or you want to go home, doesn't mean you can treat your last customers like trash, they mean as much as the ones that came in when you opened or in the middle of the day.
