This place is linked to/related to the Blue Mountain Brewery, but does have some different offerings. This place will also set up 2.5oz samples of every beer they have on tap. In this case it was a flight of 10 and these guys also have a bit of everything so if you can't find a beer you like then you're just being too picky. In this case we also had the 'sweet tea', which is made with Vodka and was really good as they didn't over sweeten it. My wife again picked the Monticello Mountain Ale, but I went for the Long Winters Nap lager. We were there on St. Patricks Day and they had some unique and outstanding specials. We really liked the Irish stew and the 'bomb' made from their Dark Hollow stout with a 2.5 oz glass of Irish cream that we dropped into it (no I didn't make a mess). Of course I cheated and Debbie and I downed the entire drink. These guys also have an outstanding kitchen so come hungry. Finally this place has plenty of indoor seating and is one of the few places that the outdoor seating is...
Read moreAbsolutely beautiful place with spectacular views and an atmosphere of relaxation and beauty and fun. They have a GORGEOUS outside patio area that is very kid and dog friendly with lots of room to run around, play corn hole, and a fireplace. They have a beautiful Love sign that is nestled amongst a field of hops growing with the Blue Ridge mountains in the background. The beer and taproom is FANTASTIC. My personal favorites include the mountain ale & homework orange- they have something for everyone's taste. The food was good but not exceptional. I recognize that I set a high bar here. I have had the pleasure of many Extraordinarily delicious places in my lifetime and this was a solid 4star out of 5. The burger was good but a little small for the price and my tacos were delicious and worth coming for. The collard greens were nontraditional with a spicy tomato sauce that was OK but not expected. Would be great with some cornbread. I will definitely be coming back and look forward to trying new...
Read moreDisappointed in the Sunday brunch. We were excited to discover that they offered a Sunday brunch option however the Sunrise Frittata was lacking at best. The frittata seemed to be made well in advance (dried out and room temperature). Served with one slice of toast, cut in half, with a pat butter to be divided between the halves. The waitress informed us that they ran out of butter, sad considering there is a Food Lion up the road. For the side, I chose the pancake which was fluffy but served dry, without butter or syrup. By the time the waitress brought the syrup (which was way too little syrup), the pancake was cold and had to be eaten half dry. To top it off, coffee with brunch was not an option. Who serves brunch without coffee? This confirms that not all brewery’s are known for awesome food to go along with their beer, cider or wine options. Sunday brunches are off the table. If you like good dark beer or moscato, then come and enjoy but steer clear of the Sunrise Frittata. It’s not worth...
