Again: This place is amazing! I had the sopa de pollo, and it came out hot and truly made that day! Huge chunks of vegetables and chicken in a flavor full broth I would call flavorful but not spicy. My husband had the veggie enchaladas, and I’m not a huge enchilada fan, but the tortillas were cooked to perfection, and the cheese wasn’t overwhelming the flavor of the veggies. The drinks are delicious, and they use more than a thimble full of alcohol, which is nice considering nowadays places are a little thin with the spirits. Service was great, despite it being quite busy, and the complimentary house made chips and salsa are reason to go themselves. This is the best Mexican food I’ve had since living in Boston, and I would say fresher and more authentic than so many of those places. The atmosphere is pretty, blues evoking the gulf, and white evoking cleanliness. The bathrooms were spot less! Check it out.

I absolutely love this place! I can’t say enough about the freshness and quality of the food. I don’t want tons of meat, so my go to’s are sopa de lentejas and veggie fajitas with black beans. I’m never disappointed! They will even make kids burgers and hotdogs if they aren’t feeling Mexican food. The prices are on point for the portions, and the drinks are better than some I’ve had at places that consider themselves bars. The service is prompt, efficient, and usually very good. They have a chipmunk issue on their patio, so be aware, however they did deal with the wasp issue they had last Summer. I’d rather a chipmunk than a wasp! But check it out. Authentic Mexican, really delicious, and...

Arrived here on a dark night so parking was confusing. The small village atmosphere is charming. For a Friday night, this place was pretty empty. Staff was very attentive and kind. Prices are very reasonable. Lots of selections to choose from. Chips and salsa were brought right away and the salsa was very good. We ordered drinks. Hubs got a Captains and coke and I ordered the triple berry Margarita. His drink was adequate. Mine was very pretty but it was more of a tequila scented fruit punch than a Margarita. I am a true light weight drinker and I didn't get any type of feeling from this drink. It did have lots of frozen fruit though which I made sure to scoop up. We ordered ground beef nachos but were delivered nachos with some chopped/shredded beef. We didn't want to complain and figured beef was beef so we ate them anyways. They were very tasty. Probably the best part of our meal. I ordered the orange chicken and hubs got a shredded beef burrito. I loved the rice and guacamole salad on my dish but was disappointed by the extremely thin and overcooked chicken breast under the nicely spiced orange sauce. This plate definitely would have benefitted from some refried beans to tie all the flavors together. I know because I scooped some beans from our nachos and it elevated my dinner choice. Hubs burrito came with a guacamole type sauce that neither of us liked. The burrito was a bit dry and would have been better with some salsa or some type of sauce...

This place in pretty incredible! I have never had Mexican food like this before. Fresh, unique, delicious, so flavorful! I think my hubby and I kept going "mmm!" after every bite! I had Chicken Enchiladas and he had the Beef Burrito. HUGE portions! My Pineapple Margarita (live a little!) was so yummy!! The best part was the homemade salsa and chips. I have never had salsa like that. It was beyond fresh. The taste was unique and we actually asked for another basket of chips and seconds on the salsa! We were seated outside on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. EVERYONE there had masks on and all social distancing protocols were firmly in place. We have only just started to go out to eat on occasion and this is of utmost importance to us! We were finishing up when a lovely women came out to sanitize tables and chairs outside and tidy up. She was smiling and working very hard. I said excuse me but tell the owner that we LOVE the food here! Well, she was the owner! She talked to us for about 10 minutes telling us of how all the recipes were her own and she originally came from Mexico. We have already been back to El Arroyo and plan to keep going back! I highly recommend it for the best Mexican food and stellar...

As a devoted fan of Mexican cuisine in the Merrimack Valley, I've explored most of the options, including some of my favorites like Plaza Azteca, Frontera, Tequilas, Terramar, and Cazadores - all excellent choices. At Monarquia, expert seasoning and sauces transforms Mexican staples from appetizers to entrees, setting them apart from its competitors. Despite its cozy size, the ambiance is fitting, featuring bar tops that comfortably host a dozen seats amidst large TVs and a well-stocked liquor selection. The libations at Monarquia are a highlight, carefully crafted with a variety of margarita and cocktail combinations to suit any preference. Service consistently impresses, especially during quieter times. In my opinion, Monarquia currently stands as my top pick for Mexican cuisine in the area. The restaurant is not just a local gem but a destination-worthy experience. ¡Nos vemos pronto!

OMG the portions were huge, including the drinks, we were not too hungry so we opted for the loaded nachos and they were loaded, unlike most places where the chips to toppings ratio favors the chips this was loaded with toppings. We also got the mini chimi app, and it was delicious. the drinks were also huge. I will be going back, soon I hope.
