It has been a while since we stopped in here. The food is still good but the quality has definately dropped. I dont think the pricing of the food is justified by the quantity anymore.
The biggest issue I had with them is the nickel and diming they do now, such as:
Only entrees can be purchased in the dining room. No sandwiches can be bought, you can't buy a large pizza. We were told we can only order those things as takeout. So they have the workers to make it, but in an effort to make more money off the dine in guests they don't allow you you to order certain things on the menu.
It was someone's birthday so we brought cupcakes to celebrate as the desserts they offer doesn't mesh with the groups tastes. We were told it was 2 dollars a person to eat the cupcakes in the restaurant. Which for 8 people is more than the cost of the cupcakes. I could understand a flat fee or not allowing it for certain foods but for a table that spent 200 dollars it seems really petty to charge 16 dollars to just eat some cupcakes after dinner.
To Share an Entree between 2 people they charge 5 dollars per share. For my parents to split their dinners and share them. A personal pizza and a salad they wanted to charge an additional 10 dollars. So they both wanted pizza, they can't order a medium pizza so it is big enough for 2 people so they get a personal and a salad to share so they both have enough food and they want to charge 10 dollar. I could see if this was 2 people getting 1 entree and both eating but to charge to share the pizza and charge again to share the salad was going to be ridiculous and unwarranted.
No wonder this place was emptier than I ever saw it before. Apperently I am not the only to think this stuff goes too far. Due to this, we will not be dining in again. The food is good but I don't want to patronage a place that wants to do...
Read moreI visited Vincenzo’s today with a friend for lunch. We waited for quite a while before we were even acknowledged and were then told someone would be with us shortly. More waiting and then a young woman (the bartender, I think?) grabbed some menus and led us to a table. No smile, and she was not at all pleasant and welcoming in any way which made a really bad first impression.
Our waitress seemed every bit as miserable and was not pleasant either. She took our drink order and didn’t give us a chance to place our order for food or appetizers. So, we got our drinks, and it was quite a while before she was back again to place our food order; I kept looking around for her and she was nowhere to be found. Our appetizer eventually came out, then it was at least 30 minutes before the food came out. The restaurant was not busy at all, as we were there at 2:30 on a Saturday.
The food itself was very good- everything from the mozzarella fritti to the side salad to the crab ravioli I had.
From start to finish it took an hour and a half to have our meal, from the time we were seated until we signed our receipts which seemed excessive. The service was slow and not friendly at all. I really don’t think I’ll be back to dine in, but may consider takeout because like I said, the food was good.
Management needs to do a better job hiring FRIENDLY service staff. There seemed to be an adequate number of servers, but they all seemed miserable. If you’re willing to put up with slow, rude service, the food actually does make this place worth checking out. I personally will not be back for dine in- not a...
Read moreMy husband and I went to Vincenzo's for dinner tonight for the very first time. We wanted to check out the establishment before purchasing a gift card for our son and his wife. I was so excited as we pulled into the parking lot and I saw the restaurant. It was very nicely decorated and created a authentic Italian atmosphere. The menu selection was great and we were greeted with personal attention. My husband and I ordered our food and waited in anticipation. I got ravioli with roasted peppers. As I began to eat it felt like I was chewing on a thin papery substance. I was trying to figure out what it was and then I realized that it was the skin of the roasted peppers. I stayed away from the peppers but ate the ravioli. When our waitress asked how things were with my husband and I , we explained about the peppers. I asked her to speak to the chef and tell me what was said. The manager came out and I explained to her the problem with the roasted peppers and she asked if I wanted another plate. I said no thank you because I was finished eating. My husband and I finished up our visit with coffee and dessert and paid our bill. We did buy the gift card but I was disappointed that a discount wasn't applied to our bill or perhaps an offer to pay for our dessert. As my husband and I were getting ready to leave, our waitress came over and said because you didn't get any kind of discount, I wanted to give you a dessert to take home. Our waitress made up for what the management lacked and I went home feeling like she cared about my time and my experience eating at...
