This was our first time here and our expectations were really high. We had heard of it and finally got a chance to try it out. The waitress whom I believe to be an owner was very nice and friendly. The atmosphere and decor was great. Very clean and well kept. It’s of course located on a quaint little Main Street full of cool shops. The starter salads were great. The sweet tea was good. I thought it could use a-little more sweet. We ordered the fried mushrooms and they were good but nothing great. My smoked sausage was really good but just not my personal favorite flavor. The macaroni and cheese was really lacking on cheese. The potato salad was real good. The speedy beans were pretty good as well. My wife had the tenderloin dinner and the tenderloin was under cooked and rather small. We’re hoping we just caught them at a bad time. We plan to go back and try them again...
Read moreRode the Harley down from Kansas City area just to eat at the Amsterdam Cafe, and it was well worth the trip! Great food in a nice, hometown atmosphere! Planning next trip already to get here early enough for breakfast!!
