Update for the owners response:

What other options did we miss attempting to give you a chance to respond prior to social media? We tried our best to reach your staff to no avail. I appreciate your response but based on your previous reviews over the years you have not tried to correct this problem. Please do better and try not to sound scripted in your response. Have a wonderful and blessed day.

First time visiting this venue and will most certainly be the last time. Website shows they have several locations scattered around SC. Based on the experience my party just had we would not be willing to visit any of these locations ever.

We had a party of six people and upon approaching the hostess station we were refused service because verbatim the hostess said, "We are too busy right now, next time get here earlier." We showed up two hours prior to posted closing time! What type of poor restaurant management is being practiced here? After we walked away the hostess accepted a party of four. What a rude gesture and during a time of need we drove 30 miles to your venue after several attempts to call the venue ahead of time.

This location just put a very bad reputation out there for all locations. I challenge both management and owners of this venue to do better. There are plenty other venues handling their businesses just fine and it shows.

I would avoid visiting this location as there are clearly...

We had 5 adults and 3 children, some arrived at 4:30 and some at 5:15. This was yesterday, Thursday. This was not a good experience, if it could go wrong it did. One child got her salad as we were ready to leave, at almost 7 pm, she was visibly upset and starving. Wine was ordered and after 30 minutes and continually asking she was brought the wrong wine and told oh we don’t even have the one you ordered. I ordered the bang bang shrimp, ice cold sent it back and told her it was not hot, she brought it back out still ice cold and so hot with their extra spices could not eat it. I could go on and on but won’t, our waitress was simply clueless. Then of course the checks were wrong and she blamed that on the computers as she blamed everything on someone else. Took no responsibility and nothing was even discounted or offered anything free to make up for her shortcomings and all the mistakes she made. Please train your staff and correct your menu....

This summer we have visited most of the grills on Lake Hartwell. All have good and bad points. Here's my take on JRCash Grill. Food quality was excellent. I had fried shrimp and they were hand breaded just right. He had the Cash burger and also very good. Good sweet tea. Good waitress. Menu is not very extensive but still good for being on the lake. Disappointed that they did not have wings tho. Docks are pretty rough, you will need fat buoys to avoid metal edges. Wait time was a little long, both to get docked and to be seated. But once seated and order taken the wait wasn't bad. And we were there at lunch on Saturday. We would recommend this place. Beautiful view. We do not drink alcohol, but many seemed to like that service. Pretty steep hill to walk up from the dock, at least for us. We are 70. But it was ok even for us. Nice play area for little children. Only 4 stars because of smaller menu. Food...

We absolutely love this place. We live close by water and enjoy bringing out-of-town guests there. Their burgers and wraps are delicious, the atmosphere is even better. I love their "Coolada" frozen drink. I swear I could go there for that. It's all outdoors, covered, which was greatly remodeled during Covid. Great ambiance when the sun sets. They have singing talent on weekends. They do close down during winter months. The only downside to this place is the boat parking. It's extremely limited. Big Water really needs to create additional parking. Boats have to wait on a place to park. They do, however, offer beach parking for wave runners. When it's just the two of us, we take ours. It's easier to park since boat parking is limited. Big Water is a marina for sail boats. They offer gas at the dock.

Amazing atmosphere. Wish I could give it a 10! The staff is so welcoming. When we arrived early evening on a Thursday (I assume this is their off season weekly start day), one of the servers met us in the parking lot with her smile and bright attitude! Great start! Then we met OT, our personal server who treated us like royalty! What an asset to this business! He was even suggesting we come back next July 4th for the fireworks and rent a boat for an up close show! OT, made the 2 of us seem just as important as the table of 16 that had just come in after us! Great view looking out over the lake! Big TVs to watch the games. Really can't say enough about the JR Cash vibe! And the food was outstanding!
