Sheridan's Lodge was a pleasant surprise for us. We were looking for a restaurant halfway between our home and our closest friends. This warm quaint restaurant and pub was perfect. The authentic rustic building sits alongside a charming lake (snow-covered for our visit) offers more space inside then expected. It is clear at first look it is a popular place with a large old fashioned bar, 3 dining areas with almost every seat treated to a picturesque view thanks to oversized windows from one end to the other of 2 of the dining rooms. The 3rd dining area features pub style tables. The decor seems original cozy and fun. The menu is well designed with a variety of comfort foods and bar favorites. Specials on this February Saturday included my choice, an 8 oz sirloin with shrimp served with fresh perfectly cooked carrots and green beans, mashed potatoes and salad. My companions had salmon w rice and vegetables, a Tuscan chicken dish, and fish and chips. All of the meals were well prepared and enjoyed thoroughly. The bar offered a list of special cocktails wines and dozens of worthy beers on tap, in addition to a long list of bottled beers. We did not try the deserts but were tempted by the offerings. Despite the cold weather and the spectre of covid the restaurant was full with reservations needed. It did not seem uncomfortably crowded and families and groups moved in ind out without problem. Some masked some not (hopefully vaccinated) all seemed to be having a good time. Parking was ample with a couple of lots across the road handling the weekend dinner crowd needs. It looks like outdoor seating is available during the warm weather. All in all we were impressed with the service, value, and quality of our first dinner at Sheridan's Lodge. We will be coming back. If you are looking for someplace for a great meal or a new favorite place stop in and try this place you will be...

The Cottage Pie was bland with a sweet undertone. The carrots in the pie were still crunchy, and the pees were overcooked. The mash on top was grainy and lacked any real flavor. The whole thing tasted like an American attempt at a dish they only heard about. The salmon lacked any flavor. The "sauce" on the salmon was melted butter, and even that could not save the fish. The veggies were blanched/boiled and soft. The rice tasted like it was made from a box of Uncle Ben's. The bang bang shrimp were clearly pre-made. The shrimp by far had the most flavor of anything we ordered. The sauce was clearly from the shelf of the local grocery. The kids' hotdog bun was toasted to the point it had become a crouton, and my child did not eat it. They did like the fries. The mixed drink was the best thing we ordered, and the only thing that did not leave us...

I attended a bridal shower in their party room and it was very nice! The room has large windows overlooking the lake and it was so picturesque and bright. Even though there was a huge bar with a crowd of people eating just steps away from where we were, inside the room felt very private and intimate. The food was very good, we had brunch. They served buffet style and it was plentiful and hot. We had bagels and danish, delicious quiches with breakfast potatoes, chicken and waffles, amazing salad, penne vodka, chicken fancese, and sliced beef in a brown mushroom gravy. All delicious! In the bar restaurant there were many families there besides what looked like regulars and the food they were eating looked really good too. Overall a great place to hang out for a casual bar experience, as well as a great event space for a small 30-40...
