The food was wonderful. I'd post pictures but I'm afraid I was too busy eating and by the time it crossed my mind, it was only scraps on my plate. If memory serves the menu went as follows: potatoes and green sauce ( if you've had Peruvian, you know of what sauce I speak), essentially a cod ceviche, caprese salad ( I don't know what was in the oil and balsamic mix, herbs perhaps, but it was wonderful and the tomatoes were awesome), soft navy beans and what can best be described as a cross between chicken and rice and like a ceviche (heavy on the citrus onion and peppers), followed by some flan for dessert. Oh and plenty of wine and conversation. The chicken main was hands down, the star of the show. I'd eat that 3 times a week. They had mentioned they were considering adding it at one of their restaurants in Boston so perhaps I'll get my chance.
Maria, and her staff and family were amazing hosts. We never wanted for anything. Wine glass was always full, and just the right amount of time between courses for conversation.
The setting, I mean come on, you're in the mountains in Vermont. The view was great and the weather cooperated all night. The cool thing was, we could see the ridge where our house is from the table, so that added to the experience for sure.
Great experience, and I would love...
