I’m a really patient person who believes in grace and that everybody has bad days, so for me to leave a negative review, it really had to be atrocious. Our server, Karen was just so grumpy and down right rude. We had reservations and were on time. My husband asked for a Fat Tire beer, the same as me, but he was provided a different beer; and when he asked for the correction, Karen snippedly stated “I don’t know what we have in the cooler”. Okay, so instead he asked for an Mc Ultra and she proceeded to bring him the wrong beer again. Our food was taking really long, and since Karen was just polishing silverware at the bar, I went up and asked for more bread please. She rolled her eyes and stormed off, the woman working next to her, was kind enough to state the bread would be right out. Karen then came along and aggressively threw the bread at us, which felt so disrespectful. Our food arrived TWO HOURS later. I ordered the pecan bacon wrapped tenderloin and received the jalapeño bacon wrapped tenderloin. While it wasn’t what I ordered, the food was good so I didn’t bother mentioning it; wouldn’t want to upset our server. It’s just disheartening to be treated that way when we were kind and not even demanding at all. Given most of the business in that town appear to be abandoned and this is one of the very few places left, you think they would want to provide quality service. I know Karen has been there a crazy long time, but if she’s going to be so nasty to loyal customers, it might be...
Read moreThe Redwood Steakhouse is one of the nicer restaurants in this area. The server was very friendly and timely, making sure we were always taken care of. The environment of the restaurant is a low light, quiet space which makes it so you can actually talk to the people you came with rather than having to yell. The food was a bit of a disappointment. I ordered a medium rare steak but was closer to a rare steak and there really was no flavor to the steak, kind of bland and I’m not one for a lot of seasoning on my steaks. I added cheese and onions to my hash browns. The hash browns were delicious although there was quite a lot of onions and the cheese is a sliced Kraft single laid on top of the hash browns. I had never heard of a relish tray until I came here. If you are like me and aren’t familiar with it, it’s a dish that includes a variety of different foods such as vegetables, fruits, meats, cheeses, and seafood. You definitely won’t starve if you eat here. Although I wasn’t that impressed with my first visit here, I am happy to give them another chance and hopefully find myself eating here...
Read moreWe arrived on time for a reservation at 5:30 on Father's Day. It took a long time to get drinks. Then a long wait to take our orders and another long wait for the relish tray and an order of onion rings. Then a beyond ridiculously long wait for our meals. I'm talking its past 7:30 and where is our food? 2hrs is a very long time when you have 3 kids under 10.
Waitress was very nice., but she never came by to see if we needed refills on drinks. Never told us why our orders were taking so long. Finally the food arrives...we were very much disappointed. The steaks were tough, chewy, even hard to cut. The chicken tenders were dry and so was the bacon wrapped pork loin. Only the person who ordered fish was satisfied.
I don't think they had enough servers or cooks in the kitchen. We decided the Redwood Steakhouse will not be a place we visit again. Prices are too high for the portion size and the quality of the food. Quite...
