Casey's — Restaurant in Ankeny

Well, the staff overall seems quite friendly and polite. I did have quite an issue and a rather inappropriately rude interaction on the part of a single employee. This employee was not on the clock and was just loitering around. I was passing through and stopped to get coffee and update my YouTube channel. I was assured by multiple on shift employees that I was okay. This off work employee then proceeded to call his GM and gets permission to very rudely threaten me with Trespassing and recorded a video; which I asked to be sent to me but was flatly denied and was told the video would be going to corporate. The issue was apparently caused by my "self advertisement" being bad for business, the fact I appeared as I did. It's sad to see such an otherwise fantastic store fall so short due to the bigotry of a single individual; and obviously at odds with the opinions of the other staff members. Was unnecessary and if absolutely needed could have, and should have, been handled differently; without the notable disdain and aggressiveness. Unfortunately have to go out of my way to not recommend and makes sure to pass this experience along to everyone I know traveling...

7am, for being in Ankeny you'd expect this location to be one of the best if not the best locations. Apparently corporate doesn't ever come to this location because I've been here twice in the morning weeks apart and it's always the same.

No or very little food in the warmer, full trash cans and staff just wondering around goofing off. I'm not concerned if staff is joking about but when there are simple tasks not being completed that makes me question management.

I stopped here specifically because of it's proximity to my clients but I'll never stop here again if this happens a third time. I already have all the Kwik Star/Kwik Trip cards and have moved most of my business to them.

I rarely find a decent Casey's anymore which is sad because it use to be an Iowa staple, especially when they bought out alot of Kum and Go locations years ago. However I find myself wanting to visit even small mom and pops to avoid a Casey's...

Parking lot.... Why do you allow all these dropped trailers, people parking their cars in semi truck spots to "RESERVE " them, and just plain broke down (long term) and abandoned vehicles....... Seriously cuts down on legit spots for people who would actually stop, spend the n8ght and spend money. Let alone the lack of truck parking in Ankeny in general for drivers delivering here...

I can tell from the reviews that this has been an ongoing issue for a few years, so it seams that both store management nor corporate really car what goes on in their parking lot on the truck side........

It would be a decent place if you would actually address this ongoing issue. Pictures are of just one of the vehicles abandoned here.. truck is nowhere close to DOT LEGAL, Just sitting there taking...
