Subway — Restaurant in Ankeny

I had the absolute pleasure of being helped by Tim at the Subway in Ankeny today. He was working all by himself and still managed to serve everyone with such grace and ease even though his help arrived pretty late. Despite the rush, Tim kept a positive attitude, made great conversation, and was genuinely one of the kindest people I’ve come across in customer service.

I sat down and ate while watching him work, and he never once seemed stressed or overwhelmed. He was polite, efficient, and kept everything running smoothly without missing a beat. It’s clear he takes pride in his work and he’s just the kindest person. Tim truly went above and beyond, and he absolutely deserves a raise and some serious recognition!

One of the absolute worse Subway experiences I have ever had. If you're hungry for Subway, go somewhere else, trust me. There have been several times that the sandwiches don't come out right (but there have been good sandwiches there too), but it was usually a new staff member so it's understandable. However, today's experience was too much. The shift supervisor (Willy) was not only flat out rude to the other staff in front of me and other customers, but then when I attempted to defend the employee politely, he told me that "that's how he runs his store" and that "I could just ask you to leave." We stopped here on the way home to get a quick meal. I ordered a ham and cheese on wheat and asked for it to be toasted. The employee asked what toppings I would like and I asked for it to be toasted once again. He then stated I could not have it roasted until he put the toppings on first. I told him I did not want my toppings toasted and he stated he could not put on toppings after it was toasted. I have never had an employee tell me how I had to eat my sandwich and stand and argue with me. I should have walked out but told him to give it to me cold. Went home and...
