Preface: I’m not going to give a star rating, but I will give my honest opinions.

Bun Bo Hue (small, $13): Surprisingly a LOT of meat ingredients in this soup. Maybe 4-6 slices of beef, decent sized pork hock, two large pork blood cubes, and three slices of the other thing (i forget) Broth had a lackluster slightly unsettling porky flavor. After adding in some of the basil, mint, bean sprouts, cabbage, and some sauce and lime to my taste, it was pretty decent. It definitely was a small bowl. Satisfying for one person, but I could maybe eat more (215 lb man). The beef slices were a bit tough but had a nice flavor. Pork hock was nice and tender, chewy, tasted good also. I didn’t like the pork blood, but I never do. Decent amount of noodles, but the soup was served just warm to hot, not as hot as I’d like.

Banh Mi (Beef, $12): Overpriced in my opinion. Solid, but not what I want in Banh Mi. Bread was really nice soft yet crunchy texture. Had lettuce, a may that was kind of americany and not the garlicky yolkier yellow mayo I’d expect, pickled carrots, daikon, cilantro, and jalapeño. Beef was strange, kind of like beef jerky in texture but softer. Strangely the banh mi almost tasted like a big mac at times.

Nice clean restroom, decently nice ambience and not too busy during Monday lunch.

Water tasted nice and clean, with the nice little...

Looked for a pho place near me. Found this spot and noticed high reviews so decided to try it out. Ordered small #18 pho with brocolli and my partner ordered medium #18 with extra broth and bok choy. The waitress repeated the order and said bok choy in both, I corrected her and asked for broccoli in mine. The order came out and mine had the bok choy and hers had the broccoli. Not the worst that could happen. Dealt with it. Had a taste of the broth and it wasnt as flavorful as I was hoping considering all the reviews about how their pho is flavorful. Mine was also not hot. It was luke warm. Soup should be hot. Anyway, went up to pay and mentioned this to the cashier, she supposedly gave us a discount but don't know for sure because we didnt see the original charge. Three stars for that but probably won't be back....

Talk about a great secret in Antioch, this place is family run and has the greatest fresh veg and seafood dishes, so tasty, plenty of food given, service is personal and very pleasant with the owner usually coming over and getting very friendly sharing stories of how he met his wife during the Vietnam war. It is a family run delicious tasting generous portions, fresh food, everything from the fresh coconut drink in the coconut, to the main dishes is DELICiOUS and worth your going out and trying it. Plenty of room for parties ( large and small) Clean, quick service, just cannot say enough good about this place.Only draw back is if you are a Christian family eating there the waitress does have some vulgar tattoos near her breasts, which is not too good for children to read. Other than this one thing it should...

A Vietnamese Restaurant on Hillcrest that I’ve never been to. They served Pho of course, so big that my friend did not finish it. But, he comes to this spot once a month because of the Pho. I ordered the catfish plate serve with fried rice another huge serving but I am not complaining! The fish was crispy outside and soft and steamy when you bite into it. Loved the food. Service gets a 3.5, the staff were attentive but the communication experience was weird. But maybe it’s a culture thing. I asked for Vietnamese iced coffee and they served it like a drip coffee and the ice was separate. So the I asked “what do I do and how long do I wait?” The waitress said “wait til it stops dripping the n mix it!” Then said “patience!” Oh ok then! Overall rating is a 4 because they did not disappoint with the food!!!

Would not recommend, especially for the price. I ordered from them before and they put two pieces of tofu in my dish. I tried to give it a second chance and ordered again, specifically asking them to put a normal amount of tofu. They gave me 3 pieces, and barely any vegetables. The dish is cheaply made by stocking up on the carbs (noodles or rice) and providing little of the substance/nutrients. The food is not good enough either for this to be the case. These were the most dry, plain noodles I’ve ever had. There are so many other restaurants with much better options, similarly priced. Again, I just really wouldn’t recommend this place, especially for vegan/vegetarian where it’s difficult enough to get a good source of protein.

Fast service- but that meant our food was already prep ahead of time. The shredded pork wasn’t freshly cooked off the grill (looked pale), the Chicken Curry was disappointing that I had to literally put half of the salad dipping sauce to be able to eat it (really? This cost $15?) and the Chicken Pho was also a joke. Very bland and when I asked for a small side of the broth- the waitress told me $4🤣 the bowl barely have any broth with all the noodles. For a small bowl of soup for $11, it should go with another small side of broth at no cost.
