Was already a Nonla Burger fan, sad to see em' go. Still in Kalamazoo tho. So of course I'm sceptical. Another mediocre breakfast joint. No more great burgers, and wings and brussels.... So I had the Cozy Egg Cafe "cali" omelette adding bacon to it and hash browns. Got it to go and didn't actually eat it till I got home. Took about 15 mins after I ordered it before I took my first bite.... Nonla who? Burger what? Dang the Cali omelette was soooooo frickin good! I forgot all about Nonla. It was light, fresh, cooked proper with quality ingredients. Proportion was nice and the hash browns though stander as far as preparation they actually had a good flavor and crisp not bland or undercooked. They seem to be paying attention to detail. That can make an average local restaurant into a destination spot. So to all the Nonla fans have no fear, the new owners can cook!. I haven't had lunch yet but looking forward to it. Hope it holds up like their breakfast does! Let ya know! Peace and chicken...
Read moreIf you’re looking for the perfect breakfast or brunch spot that feels like a warm hug, look no further than Cozy Egg Café. From the moment you walk in, you’re enveloped by a welcoming atmosphere that lives up to the name—charming décor, friendly chatter, and the irresistible aroma of comfort food.
What truly sets Cozy Egg apart, though, is the service—especially the phenomenal waitress, Michelle. She’s a total gem: attentive without being overbearing, incredibly kind, and always seems to be one step ahead of what you need.
Now, let’s talk about the food, because wow. The French toast is out-of-this-world—thick, golden slices with a perfectly crisp edge and a pillowy center, topped with just the right amount of sweetness. It’s indulgent without being over the top and pairs beautifully with a hot cup of coffee.
And then there are the Huevos Rancheros—easily some of the best that my companion has had anywhere. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Cozy Egg Café is an...
Read moreMy latte was $8.22! I couldn’t believe it! I’ve never paid that much for a coffee, and I’ve lived in Chicago, LA, and London.
I love coffee and am a barista myself, and I don’t mind splurging for an amazing drink…but the drink was just good.
It was also a medium! 16 oz! For over $8!?
The exact drink was an iced lavender latte, with white mocha syrup & oat milk. I ordered the same amount of syrup that would come in a lavender latte, just split between the lavender & white mocha. So I’m a little surprised this cost extra, since it’s the same volume of syrup.
The oat milk cost $1.50 extra… I think this is where I went wrong. Usually milk alternatives are 50-75 cents. I couldn’t believe $1.50!
I haven’t had their food but it looks and sounds super delicious! I’m just a bit turned off by the price of...
