It was my daughters first day of preschool so we wanted to take out to lunch to celebrate as she was very excited. It's also my birthday today so it was another reason to celebrate. We ordered a kids mac and cheese and kids cheese pizza for our kids then ordered a sandwich (12.99) and pretzel bites (9.99) for my wife and I. Kids eat free with the purchase of an adult meal of 6.99 or more. The mac and cheese came our extremely over cooked and dry. The cheese pizza was a frozen stouffers French bread which looked very disappointing to say the least. Especially when all the other pizzas look to be made to order, just w frozen crust which is usually fine. Both kids meals looked very unappealing and 4 or 5 bites into the mac and cheese my daughter threw up bc it was so dry it got stuck in her throat. After about 5 more minutes we asked for a box and the bill as we could see it just wasn't the greatest experience. The bill comes and as always the kids meals aren't free. We have the server fix it but still 1 kids meal won't be discounted bc they said we didnt order an entree. Even though the menu states meal not entree and we spent 9.99. The meal only has to be 6.99 to get a kids meal free. The manager comes over and tells us how they don't consider the pretzel bites a entree since it's on the appetizer menu but the promo just says adult meal. The manager doesn't want to budge on giving us the kids meal free. Finally she relents says they will discount the 2nd kids meal. I said ok but this will be our last time here bc we are sick of dealing with this nonsense over what a meal is when we spent well more than required. After that the manager gets very upset and yells at me "fine you know what I'll pay for the whole check and tip my server out." Then of all the things she could have said she chose the absolute worst thing and yelled "if you can't afford to go out to eat then stay home!"

As we were walking out she said all of this. I couldn't have been more insulted. I stopped and told her that I was insulted and I couldn't believe she was acting this way over verbiage on a menu when we spent well more than enough. She then said I needed to leave bc I was causing a scene and threatened to call the cops.

This couldn't have been a worse experience on my daughters first day of preschool and my birthday. What a disappointment and I'll never be returning to this location ever again. Save yourself some trouble and avoid this place like the plague. Luckily the kalamazoo location is a night and day difference in a positive way. People there couldn't be nicer and more accomadating, not to mention they are always aware of specials and when kids eat free.

Supposedly this main st let's kids eat free on Sundays and Monday but apparently mgmt doesn't tell their servers this at the mattawan location. I've never been to this location without having to have the kids meals taken off the bill every single time it's a day where kids eat free.

Where to begin? We went to Main Street last night to celebrate a couple birthday dinners. We were sat in the back room, with the fan going full blast (middle of winter,) so we asked them to turn it off. It took 4 different times asking to get them to finally turn it off to make everyone stop freezing. The waitress was very friendly, and seemed to serve our table well. Looking through the menu, some of the prices are outrageous for what you get. So we order our food, and it all comes out, and my sister orders a wrap without chicken, as she doesn’t eat meat. She politely tells the waitress she found chicken in her wrap and would like to send it back. A couple minutes later, the manager comes to our table, she literally stands there with the wrap my sister sent back and picks through it with a fork, and very condescendingly says “there is no chicken in here my dear.” It was extremely unprofessional and rude. My sister says no there absolutely is chicken in it, we found pieces of it. The manager argues for a minute and takes the plate away. My sister then asks the waitress to cancel her wrap as she doesn’t want it remade, nervous as to what might happen to it. But a few minutes later the manager comes back with a new wrap (maybe) and hands it to her. My sister politely tells her she cancelled her order and no thank you, she didn’t want to eat it. And the manager with the same demeaning tone as before asks why she won’t just eat it. And I finally speak up and tell her she just doesn’t feel comfortable eating it after everything. And it made my sister so embarrassed and upset the way she was spoken to, she left the restaurant crying. On top of all that, half the food was barely edible. But no one was about to send back their food after all that. It was not the birthday celebration we had hoped for. Everyone’s evening was ruined. And it’s appalling how unprofessional the “manager” of an establishment could act. Considering the food, and the service, we will absolutely NOT be returning. I will say that our order was refunded and I appreciate the efforts to make it right, I wrote my review hoping that it would bring to leadership's attention the struggle you seem to have with take out. After my experience, I looked at other reviews and there were many that had difficulty with this side of the business.

I still would not make a second attempt at either take out or dine in, but appreciate their willingness to correct the problem. One last thing, if you order kids dinners on Sunday, check your receipt to make sure you're not charged, website says kids eat free with adult entree, but in my experience this was not the case.

I had to sleep on this before leaving a review but the take out my family had 07/31/2022 was just dreadful.

We had 2 kids meals (both with Mac -n- cheese). Well, we got the Mac only to have to make a cheese sauce at home because it wasn't included and quite frankly it looked like a box of Kraft macaroni and cheese. I'm not sure if I was charged for this (I didn't check my receipt) I know per your website kids are supposed to eat free.

The fried pickles were so salty and greasy I'm still tasting it this morning, sweet potato fries were inedible.

Specifically asked at time of ordering that one of our wraps had no bacon, yep you guessed it, I think they even added extra and there was so much lettuce in both wraps that you could barely taste the filling,

Tomatoes were added to the salad (asked for none) and since the request was due to dietary restrictions, that also was inedible. One skinny little chicken breast for the blackened pasta and it looks lost in the sea of over-salted pasta it arrived in

I don't know if you offer better service (and food) for the dine in experience but I will tell you based on the take out order my family received, I wouldn't risk it to find out. Not a pleasant experience and not worth the risk of trying again. Visiting from...
