Lynn's Quality Oysters — Restaurant in Apalachicola

We had our first visit to Lynn's over the weekend, and this will be the first place we return to eat at on our next trip in March. These folks are the most friendly, accommodating and welcoming people you'll meet. Within a minute of walking in the door, you feel like family. Though I know tourists visit here often, it doesn't have a tourist-y vibe, and that's the beauty of it.

Let's not forget to mention the key lime pie. I grew up (in Tennessee) on my grandmother's homemade key lime pie, and the classic meringue version is hard to find these days. Lynn's has the real deal! It's been years since I've had an authentic key lime pie - most places these days are doing something thick more like a key lime cheesecake with thick cream type topping, adding coconut and other random things (taste ok but it's not old fashioned key lime pie) - that's not the case at Lynn's. This was a walk down memory lane, and I just wish my Nanny was still here with us so I could treat her to a slice. We literally transported a slice back to Tennessee on ice for my Mom who said it's the best she's had in decades. Thank you to the great staff at Lynn's for making our visit great, we'll see...

Our family visits Eastpoint multiple times per year. Each trip we have to go to Lynn's at least one time if not more! If you are visiting, vacationing or just passing through this place is not to be missed. The town is a lot like this restaurant- an "old oyster town," so its not much to look at but its good eats!! I admit, the first time I walked in I realized I had walked into what seemed like a fish market, you do walk through a cleaning station area to get to the back deck but it is clean! (If you can't stomach this you should probably keep driving through Eastpoint. This is an Oyster Town! Sitting on the back deck you'll see boats coming in and going out which really adds to the nostalgia of it all. If you are going there for the first time, let the staff know as soon as you walk in and they'll give you all of your seating options and let you know what's good. (EVERYTHING) Each time we go, our server is always interested in where we are from and tell us stories of how Eastpoint/Oystering used to be. This is a genuinely great experience and amazing oysters...if you can handle spicy food, order a dozen Captain Jacks. My mouth...
