This is a hidden gem in Sunnybrae! I found out about this place from a breakfast burrito picture posted in IG. I was looking for good breakfast burritos and it came up.
I never heard or been to this place before and when I looked at the pictures I was really interested to check them out. We we arrived, we were just in love with about everything. The spot is very cozy outside and inside. It is a great place for family friends, work meetings, anything you like really. I wish we had more spots in our area like BFC.
The food is yummy, not complicated or anything but flavor and light. The drinks are always spot-on and has so much aroma and flavor. The savory dishes are as equally delicious as the sweet ones. I am more of a savory person but when visit we always get both savory and sweet because they are just yummy and filling. The quality is fresh and clean and the quantity is right amount.
If you are visiting the are or looking for good breakfast/lunch spot give them a try. They also sometimes have specials and during fruit seasons the specials are so fresh and yummy.
Everyone at the restaurant is friendly and welcoming. I think couple of times we got greeted by the owner herself, which was...
Read moreHuge fan of the Bayside Farmstead Cafe! Many businesses have come and gone from this prime location. This iteration has been the best by far! First off, the Cubano is the best sandwich on the north coast. The meat, bread, and various condiments create the perfect flavor explosion. The recent addition of a small side salad really round out the experience. It’s better than the Cubano from Sol Food in San Rafael! I also enjoy their breakfast burrito. Also really enjoy their espresso and coffee drinks! Their Barista, Iris, (over heard her name from the cook while I was sitting at the bar) made me the best oat milk latte I’ve ever had. It was just exactly perfect! I watched her make one drink after another with fun, whimsical images in the foamed milk. A flower, a bear, and various other profiles from nature. All the staff are courteous and professional, while also being down to earth and engaging. My only critique or complaint are the hard wooden seats. I try and sit at the bar when possible as the stools are padded. Hard wooden, plastic, or metal seats should be banished from restaurants, cafe’s, bars, all food establishments. Otherwise, zero complaints! Highly recommend a...

My daughter and I lunched at the new Bayside Farmstead Café, a casual addition to our neighborhood. Being gluten-free, I had the salad and soup of the day - an asparagus truffle bisque.
The café has a quaint, welcoming vibe. It was a rainy day during our visit, so we missed out on their patio seating which seems ideal for nice weather days.
My salad was plain - just some fresh greens with an unremarkable dressing. It was nourishing to eat but lacked pizzazz. The soup, however, stole the show. The creamy asparagus truffle bisque went down smoothly, though I yearned for a tad more depth of flavor. Still, it was undeniably tasty.
My daughter enjoyed her sandwich. To make it feel more special, we shared a mango strawberry mimosa which was a fun treat.
While not extraordinary, Bayside offers fresh, simple fare in a welcoming space. It's a solid spot for casual meals with friends or refueling during bike rides around the neighborhood. The fresh food and pleasant ambiance make it worth returning, especially when craving lighter, healthy-ish fare....
