On our way to visit a friend my brother brought me here so he could grab something to eat. The first thing you notice is how absolutely clean and organized the whole bakery is. It's not a large bakery but there was enough space for tabletops and there is also a small room that has extra seating. Half is a hot lunch buffet area where you can order rice and beans and a side. The next case has the most organized and uniform setup of pastries. Flawless. I had to get their fresh baked bread because it is my favorite when I visit the island. There is a line of coolers behind the register area full of drinks to pick from. We got our order which didnt cost more than $20, we ordered a lot of stuff. Aside from already being clean, the area we were in was mopped once again and it smelled so fresh. Then, I can guess he was a manager or owner of sorts, came by to see how we were doing and to let him know if we need anything. Everyone was so polite and once again the cleanliness was wonderful. Read moreThe best employees I've seen in a bakery. They have great service and the lunch special is phenomenal, nice food better prices. The baked goodies are on point and really nicely done, crispy or tender as you like. They got something called "lady fingers", made with crispy puff pastry and sweet-whipped cream cheese, that are marvelous. Even the chocolate cake is perfect to buy a full plank and sing happy birthday to your lil' loved ones. They're going to love it. Finally and no less important, the bread. It is tender and soft and has a great silky flavor to it that you're going to ask for another roll before leaving. I fully recommend it.
Note: They made a great choice when they were the only bakery open just after Hurricane María hit the area and baked bread and made lunch. The only place for a hot meal...
Read morePros: The variety of pastries and they're freshness. The prices of their sandwiches and the sandwiches themselves are stupefyingly good. There's usually a lot of stuff to attend people quite fast.
Cons: The space inside is not very good, the tables feel too small for groups of 4. The cafeteria food is a bit pricey and it's not that good either. The waiting times for sandwiches are pretty long, even when there's not a lot of people in the place at times.
Overall the place is great for a quick eat. If you're a sandwich lover, trying their sandwiches is...
