Used to eat here all the time. This year 2nd time in a week we have eaten there. The waitress was more worried about running to the cash register constantly and getting her tips than serving food. 1st night took 20 minutes for her to bring our drinks, chips and salsa after she took our drink order. Never had this happen before. Had chili verde and it has always been fantastic, but this week it was made with a red sauce instead of the usual green sauce and it was awful. Had tacos that night as well and the shells were soggy and fell apart. Gave it another try on Monday night (everyone has an off night now and then) and we both had tacos because the chili verde is awful……. and once again the taco shells were soggy, wet and fell apart. I don’t know who is cooking in there but the food has really changed. 2 bad meals in 1 week is...
Read moreFor a place that was only half full, it was loud inside, not a place for a quiet dinner FYI. It's a Mexican joint, so I expected chips and salsa to be delivered, but my order of enchiladas showed up first. I asked about chips, the waiter told me since everything was hand made, that chips were extra and not included. Those chips were from a bag, senor, far from hand made. Maybe the salsa was done in house. Since 99.9% of Mexican restaurants provide chips and salsa included and without asking, the waiter should have at least suggested the option. I thought the prices were reasonable, until you add in the chips $5 and a tiny cup of sour cream $2. Now my $16 dinner went to $23 plus tax and tip, now $30+ for a middle of the road Mexican meal. The food was decent and the service OK, but there are other, better...
Read moreExcellent Mexican food. We stopped by here on our way home from Vegas in a Thursday afternoon in late september.
There is tons of outdoor seating, but it was extremely warm so we sat inside. There is a bar that you can sit at where locals seem to be hanging out or you can sit at tables like we did.
We were served immediately and food was out quick. I ordered the Verde pork burrito with a chili riano on the side and my wife got the polo asada burrito. All the food was fantastic and at a great price.
Owned by a couple whom dreamed big and succeeded in the restaurant business. On the back of the menu, it tells the story of their journey. Congrats!
Sorry I didn't take photos of food, but it looked as good as it tasted!
This place is highly...
