Idk where to start... Let's start with the fact that my wife and I got there at 1030am and didn't leave until 1pm. We originally came for breakfast (which is supposed to go til 11) and the server took our breakfast order. We did move tables twice, once bc there were a bunch of flies on the window near the high-top we were scared would go after our food, and again bc the table we moved to was directly under a high fan blowing air right on top of us. The area has no cell service and the wifi was out, so we couldn't access our phones. Now that is usually not an issue if we're not waiting forever. Eventually we have to ask the server about our breakfast order, as even larger parties who walked in after us got their food.. so he goes to check. 10 minutes later he says our "order ticket fell" and so we'd have to wait longer.
This is where it goes bad to worse. He tells us in no uncertain terms "I'm very sorry this will be on the house." He goes away then returns 15 mins later to tell us they no longer have breakfast and wed have to order lunch. It's been an hour since we got there and had not eaten anything, and were told we had to order LUNCH when we wanted breakfast! We're normally very patient with food service mishaps bc we understand how unforgiving it can be, but this was testing it a bit. Great, we decided to still roll with the punches as he keeps apologizing and reassuring us "this is on the house" and we ask for 2 fried apps along with 2 entrees. Server tells us the frier is being cleaned so we can't have those apps. I order wings and they come suspiciously fast, and of course they were stale and lukewarm. Entrees were good fajitas and spinach enchiladas were okay, but not worth the reg menu prices imo.
For the cherry on top when we're done he tells us he was able to knock 50% off the bill that he kept telling us was "on the house" and I guess he didn't charge for the drinks, but all in all this place was an absolute mess. Don't be fooled by other reviews avoid this place there are plenty others with a nice view, but without the flies and utter incompetenancy of...
Read moreMy wife and I had lunch here over the weekend to avoid the crowds in town. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and she ordered a strawberry salad. Both of our meals were tasty and no complaints, only compliments. I was surprised that they offered nacho options, but didn't offer basic chips and salsa. We sat outside and enjoyed the lovely weather and beautiful golf course as well. They seemed to be a little disorganized in terms of the wait staff - there were multiple times we had to hunt them down (initially and to pay our bill) and multiple people serviced our table as well. I really think this establishment has the potential to finally stay in business and be a good option for the VOC, but they just need to tighten up the service details. We will definitely go again and try some of the other selections and encourage you to...
