I had dinner (A Caesar salad), a starter (Fried Zucchini), and lunch (a pizza).
TLDR; Bring your own food to prepare in the rooms, the restaurant could care less about their food. Don't waste your money.
Caesar Salad ($11) with ($4) Chicken
A $15 salad could not have been more disappointing. The lettuce was limp and browning, the sauce was bland and oily, and the chicken had very little seasoning.
Overpriced for portioning AND quality.
Fried Zucchini ($11)
You get about 6-7 decent sized pieces, very lightly breaded but for Togo it's put into a plastic where even in a few minutes it gets soggy and barely edible. The pieces I received were drenched in dark oil, not properly drained after frying and affected the total quality of the fried zucchini. The marinara sauce given with them did not compliment it at all.
I would not pay $11 for this at any point, a complete disappointment.
Sausage Ricotta Pizza ($17)
The pizza was slightly burnt along the crust but completely soggy and limp in the middle, the toppings and cheese were overloaded and the end result actually made me sick for the rest of the evening, it was so greasy.
Overall some of the worst food I've ever had, especially since this restaurant is the only one for 15 miles or more of Kohl's Ranch Lodge, they should consider not getting their guests sick.
I'm surprised the restaurant is still open and would suggest overhauling their staff to include competent chefs.
Wish I could give them a negative score, we called to complain as the zucchini fries made me vomit a few times after eating them, we called to complain and get a refund for just the fries and we were met with a nasty attitude from the lady working tonight (Heather). She told us if we had a problem we could talk to her directly at the restaurant and hung up on us. Up to that point we were being nice, but we've since determined that going above the local restaurant is our only choice to get this settled. Not only does this restaurant need competent chefs, but also servers and managers with actual customer service skills....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe made a reservation by phone and when we got there they said they didn't have our reservation information. They said that it wouldn't be an issue since the restaurant only had a couple eating there. Warning sign #1, the place was almost empty on a Friday evening. Drinks were good, except the waitress dropped the drinks and they all had to be re-made. The waitress didn't know the menu very well. There were 6 in our group, 3 had prime rib @$39 each. Not fit to eat, over cooked and very thin portions. The other meals were at best just "ok". Pork-in-beans tasted like they came out of a can. Coleslaw had flavor but had big pieces of stems. The BBQ was drowned in BBQ sauce. It took 20 minutes to get the check straighten out and it's a "mandatory 20% tip", for Poor service during the meal. The only good thing about visit to this restaurant was the drinks and the atmosphere. We will certainly not be back and I would not recommend this restaurant to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just finished eating dinner here.. I had the Andouille platter which included two sausages, fries, biscuit, beans. The ketchup was two different colors and had a mystery chunk in it. I felt like it had been sitting in the little cup for a long time. The fries were Luke warm. The beans were just plain did not taste good. The sausage was OK, but literally just OK, edible. It did not particularly taste like Andouille. The biscuit was rubbery. I felt like all the food I received was made well in advance and that my fries were made well before I ordered my food. I stand by everything stated above as...
