Do not go here. Whoever "Corporate" is should be embarrassed & they are destroying the Sonic brand by not investing in this location. Many of the “stalls” don’t work - the screen doesn’t work or the credit card scanner doesn’t work or the red button to order doesn’t work, though the screen may indicate that the red button has been activated. When I asked why there isn’t an out-of-order sign on the broken stalls, I was told that “corporate” won’t allow that. Corporate also seems disinterested in painting and maintaining the place with functional equipment. I can only imagine how bad it is inside the store after decades of neglect.
And this broken-down location has a reputation among the locals. It’s no wonder their business has dropped off. So bad, in fact, that the big sign out front only reads “We are open.” Not for long, I assure you.
To be fair - The carhops are consistently friendly and seem understanding of their customers’ frustration. Sometimes, they have to come take orders in person. And often have to take your debit card inside to process. The place is as clean as it can be, no trash outside. My guess is that the management and employees are quite good.

Read moreEverytime I think I'll give it another chance. And everytime I'm so disappointed. The food quality at this particular store gets worse every time I go. The standard of what is sent out is really an abomination. Y'all should be ashamed. Wouldn't you love to serve great food to make your customer's happy? Just a thought.
I bought a popcorn chicken nugget meal. Just some tiny chicken nuggets, fries, and a drink, right?! No. Over 20 minutes later I finally recieve my food. Might I add that there were only 6 cars total there, including mine. It shouldn't have take so long. Oh yeah, and the portion of large popcorn chicken was the same size as the small I ordered the other day. What?? The fries were definitely old and the containers they were both in had old, caked on food crumbs. Yum. And does anyone else get disappointed that that's "America's favorite drink spot" and yet you don't get much beverage? I swear I pay for more ice than liquid.
Oh also, I watched a grill cook scratch their head with the gloves they had on for cooking. Never changed out the gloves, nor did this person was their hands. I'm disgusted. That's just unsanitary.
Come on, Arkadelphia Sonic. Please get it together for the love of food and pleasing people. Be proud of what you serve.

In August, we got a fresh banana milk shake that was served as the picture shows…no dome lid, lid not on right and shake was dripping down the sides…I asked the guy if he could at least get us some napkins. When he returned, I asked, “Do you always serve your shakes like this?” He replies, “It happens,” and walks off.
Then tonight….We order at 9:50, 10 minutes before closing. SuperSonic Double Cheeseburger and a Sonic Cheeseburger, both with tots. They bring our order out and it’s two jr double cheeseburgers dripping with mustard and ketchup. I push the button to let them know and they say “we are closed for the night” and hang up before I could get a word in. I push it again and they say “I said we were closed for the night!” and hang up again. I have to go in to show them they got the order wrong and they say they will fix it and bring it right out. When they bring it out, it’s only one burger…so I push it again and get the same response so I flag down a carhop to get it fixed again.
Also, tots were terrible…way overcooked.
Not sure how a Sonic or fast food experience can be this bad twice in a row, but they were able...
