Taqueria Taco Express — Restaurant in Arlington

Most of the food is delicious (stay away from the chicken burrito), however, the service isn't the greatest. I usually call ahead and order take-out. 9/10 they will get my order WRONG. Not sure if there's a miscommunication between the person taking the order and the cook but it's happened way too many times. The last time they got my order wrong I called to complain and speak to the manager (of course they were not there), the person taking my order told me to drive back and exchange it for the right item instead of offering to have it delivered to me but she insisted that I personally take it back. The exchange could've easily happened with the delivery person but she said that wasn't acceptable. I ended up keeping the food and unfortunately it was not tasty. That chicken burrito had no flavor. My gosh I can’t go on enough about how amazing their food is at taqueria taco express! Hands down my favorite in dfw!! We catered chicken fajita, steak fajita, the tortillas, corn tortillas, quesadillas and fries for the kids and all the delicious sides and sauces from them for a big family get together this past weekend and wow how amazing the food was!! everyone was full up to their throats and still had food to all take home left overs! Even a day later it still tasted amazing and I typically hate leftovers but man it tasted just as good as it did fresh!! I can’t stress enough how amazing their green sauce is my whole family can’t get enough of the green sauce and Guac!! I compared the Guac to a store bought one and there was no comparison you can tell it was freshly made at taqueria taco express compared to the one from the grocery store!! Order $50 worth of food and it was cold. The rice was crunchy, queso, beans, and my husband’s burrito was cold- literally no warmth at all. MINUTES before we picked up our food there was a review that was left complaining their food was cold, but we gave them the benefit of doubt they’d be able to come through. Wow were we wrong. Mind you, we showed up and were waiting for the food to “finishing being prepared” so the food was not waiting for us. Online stated they closed at 10 pm and I called at 9:30 to get help with my order. After 20 minutes of being on hold, the automated system telling me there no other caller ahead, no one answered. I called the next morning and the manager replaced our meal because I wanted to give them a chance to redeem themselves. Now I wish I had my $50 back.
