Captain Ron's Deli — Restaurant in Ashville

It was "my turn to cook", so instead I opted for Captain Ron's. This turned out to be the right call! We got the white pizza with broccoli & tomatoes and 2 flavors of wings. The food was ready in the expected time and we were not disappointed. The pizza was fantastic and the wings were great as well. I do prefer my honey mustard wings with a bit of a "zing" to the sauce, which these did not have, but they were still good. The butter garlic parmesan wings were different than any other I've had of this flavor, but were still tasty. I think using shredded parmesan instead of grated was what was difference was. You wouldn't expect a deli this good in small town Ashville Pa. They also do stuff like pizza and wings (really like the wings) there is a little construction going on outside right now, and it doesn't look open, but there is a little homemade side above the door teething you that it's open. There is a nice little counter area and some tables. There is some pizza and pastries under the heat lamp and ready to go. The convenience store has most of the things you need in a pinch. Prices reflect the fact that there are no other stores in town. The building is old, but they keep it up well and it seems clean. There are gambling machines in the back for a little fun. There is plenty of parking for the small amount of traffic that lives in and travels...

I saw that Captain Ron's was opening over the winter. I was super excited to see something going into Ashville! My husband and I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Stromboli, fried chicken salad, wings, and an order of fries. Everything was AMAZING. We were surprised with the Buffalo chicken Stromboli. Typically when you get one, its whole chucks on Chicken and somewhat of a buffalo/ranch sauce. This was Buffalo chicken dip basically put into a Stromboli. I loved it! My husband was super excited about the Spice rubbed wings. He ate them before i could even try one. Everything else was really good too. Definitely plan on going back and trying more items...
