My first experience was terrifying. I walked in with my service dog, as soon as I sat down an employee kept telling my aunt “we don't allow dogs” my aunt just kept saying “shes a service dog”. I re-iterated “she was a service dog and if you have any questions you can ask me” then a woman with blackish brown hair claiming to be a manager approached me. She told me that my service dog had to be leashed, vested and she was requiring paperwork. I tried to inform her about ADA laws. But she kept interrupting me insisting I had to have paperwork and that my dog needed to be vested and leashed. She aggressively continued to Tell us to leave. Im only 14 and felt very uncomfortable and scared in the situation and even stepped back to disengage conflict but she continued to step forward. I tried again to inform her about the laws but she stormed off yelling “I DONT CARE!!” “SHUT UP I DONT CARE”. She continued to make me uncomfortable with aggressive contact. The way the employee acted towards me and my service dog jeopardized my Legal rights and my health. A couple days later we went back into the restaurant hoping things would be better. The owner of the establishment asked us if she was a service dog I responded “yes” then he asked us for paperwork my mom told me to show him the Ada cards, the man looked at the card and said alright and continued to take our order. Our next experience was better but i am still highly upset about my first experience regarding my service dog. With...
Read moreWhen I got out of the car I was overwhelmed with the smell of BBQ. As I walked to the door I noticed the modest place, nothing jumping out at you and no gimmicks. I opened the front door and was welcomed with warm greetings from the staff. The whole place was filled with friendly chatter between the customers and staff. Everyone had smiles and laughed at one another. My order was taken very quickly and accurately. The waitresses were very friendly and quick to help everyone. It took a bit to get my food because they were very busy but it was worth the wait. The chicken had a good amount bbq sauce but wasn’t smothered in it. It was a sweet sauce with a tiny bit of a bite. The potatoes salad was good even though I prefer mine with a little more mustard. The cole slaw was great and fresh. I will definitely return not just for the food but for the warm...
Read moreOut of the 30+ yrs I've been eating here, tonight was the 1st time I had ever gotten anything bad or had employees be rude to me. The waitress asked if everything was good. I said the cookies taste bad, but everything else was delicious. I then got dirty looks & was scolded by another waitress & 2 cooks about how fresh the cookies were & other things i couldn't hear clearly. I said, im not going to argue with you, they were bad. Even the kids wouldn't eat them. I had to spit mine out. I was in complete shock by the absolute attack by those women. My sister who was with me, said that same waitress was rude to her over some sour tea a few months back. The young waitress who rang us up was apologetic...
