Yesterday my friend and I attended this place for dinner and drinks. We were escorted to the patio by the hostess. This is where the disrespect begins... The first mistake was when we were placed in the last table near the exit/entrance.(back table, away from the scenery) So We moved ourselves to another table. B4 we were even noticed,we waited for about 25-30mins too even get a hello. At this point I'm ready too look up another spot to eat but the waitress finally came to the time and I wasn't feeling her energy at ALL. We put in a drink order two beers and a sour whiskey. About time that came out, that's like another 20-25 mins, now I'm getting upset. Than when the drinks finally came out, the Sour whiskey was flat and watered down as if it has been sitting at the bar for awhile.I politely sent the drink back with a smile on my face and order my drink signature which is very easy to make. Those drinks came back tasting like cranberry juice and lemon lime mix, remind you neither one of them ingredients are in this drink ordered.Another 30-35 mins until the food came out.At this point myself and my guest was upset. I wanted a box too go and the bill. When I requested the receipt and boxes,I was asked by the waitress how come I'm not pleased" big mistake, never ask the customer that, good customer service just apologize for the service an go get a manager. I been n the food industry for years and there were so many no no's. The customer service was very unpleasant and I will not be returning or recommend this place to anyone. This place was not packed for the service we received. I see everyone else being helped with a smile on their face. I try not to pull the race card. But if it quack like a duck ,look like a duck well it's a duck.I will say the cooks are good in the kitchen, but never again....
Read moreWent here tonight for the dinner with “Stitch” with 3 of my 4 kids. It was nice of Barnaby’s to host such an event as we’ve gone here before multiple times for dinner and drinks and we live within walking distance of here. The issue tonight was the hostesses taking names / reservations. I literally was standing directly in front of the hostesses (two of them) upon arrival and wasn’t acknowledged whatsoever, for over 5 minutes. No eye contact, no hello. The hostess was trying to make outbound calls, presumably to seat people on their list for this dinner. Annoyed, I went to the bar and grabbed a drink and when I came back from that, my wife said they still didn’t acknowledge her or put our name on the list, but added other names and seated people before us. We took a picture with Stitch then left the restaurant and ate elsewhere. The service and the food is inconsistent at best, and it just sad that this new generation of younger people don’t have people skills. If you work in the service industry, which I’ve personally done over 20 years, you need to be able to have at least basic customer service skills. This wasn’t just my experience tonight, I watched the hostesses rolling their eyes to other people and when other clients came in to ask the wait time, they said “at least 45 minutes.” I saw people without children ask how much longer? And they were like oh you can sit outside if you want… but while rolling their eyes and blatantly showing annoyance between themselves. The management and ownership need to reconsider who they’re hiring at the front. Hostesses set the tone and I watched multiple customers leave there tonight without being seated, including me...
Read moreI really am not one to leave reviews but was there for a late lunch today (Sunday). Didn’t have a problem with the service or lunch. My problem came when I was leaving (4:20pm). Me and my girlfriend were leaving Barnaby’s (Aston) at the same time a man in his mid 40s came stumbling out right in front of us. We were only parked a spot away so we saw him stumbling into his car. I tried to talk him out of driving home. He asked me if I had spoken to the bartender because they must of told him something similar. At that point we already had his license plate number and we’re on the phone with the local police. He then drove off running over the curb in the parking lot before speeding off recklessly. We were shocked looking at the debris from his car laying in the exit lane of the lot (ripped the wheel well out from his passenger side tire). Very disappointed that he got over served and was allowed to leave under the influence like that. I’m also disappointed with the manager on duty who refused to answer the phone when I tried to call and tell them about this situation. Completely unprofessional all around. Note that the restaurant was mostly empty so it’s not like it was busy and you couldn’t tell he was drunk. Like I said he acknowledged that the bartender noticed he was too impaired to drive but somehow he still was able to leave. I shouldn’t have to be the one trying to stop people from driving under the influence when I go out for a Sunday lunch. Someone should be held accountable here and I hope the cops came by to...
