State Street Grill is the type of establishment that you would expect to find in communities of 10,000 or more so it's Astoria's good fortune to have it nestled in their town of approximately 1,100. The interior walls have a naked wood motif and there are lounge chairs and love seats available as well as the standard tables and chairs. The Grill serves breakfast and lunch and has a regular menu and some daily lunch specials. They keep the menu simple and this works well because oftentimes concentrating on a few items and doing them well pays off. And State Street does them very well. I've tried a regular item, fhe grilled butterfly pork chop and found it to be of ample proportions and great taste. On another occasion I tried one of the lunch specials, a steak pita and it was fabulous. The pies are homemade, the slices huge, the taste fantastic, and the prices are unbelievably low.
