A local Guide in San Francisco told me about In-N-Out Burgers and said I that, I had to try this place as the fast food was “high quality homemade” style food.
I wasn’t really sure what to expect, usually Quality & Fast food are worlds apart hahaha.
Nevertheless, we traveled from SF to Atascadero and they happen to have a local In-N-Out Burger restaurant we could checkout.
Stepping into an In-N-Out Burger restaurant, feels like your are travelling back in time.
My childhood memories of what fast food places use to look like, plenty of bright colours reds, yellows, neons lights, dodgy plastic tables & chairs, even the staff were dressed the part... but, it’s was a pretty cool experience.
The menu is ultra simple, only a handful of burgers (Double-Double, Hamburger, Cheese Burger, Fries, Shakes made with ice cream and the usual sodas)
We ordered a few Hamburgers/Fries/Milk Shake Combos, (Service was extremely efficient and the staff super friendly)
The Food... I’m still not 💯 % sure how I felt about the taste of the food, it was definitely fresh & tasty, but in my experience, fast food is something you crave and want to eat it, but once you have, you alway regret that you did haha 🤣, almost like a love/hate relationship.
I didn’t feel this way with the food here, perhaps it’s because the food was actually better and I didn’t feel dodgy after eating it 😘
If you are in the USA 🇺🇸, definitely worth trying... btw apparently, after speaking with a few locals, the is a hidden menu with items including: Double Meat, 3x3, 4x4, Grilled Cheese, Protein Style and Animal Style.. you...
