Okay I like to give honest and objective feedback. I’ve read many regarding the cleanliness and condition of the tables and chairs. So I do agree with the sentiment of others speaking on how bad the tables and chairs are. Obviously the owner isn’t too concerned. The food was very good and some of the best chicken I’ve ever eaten. The staff were very friendly and helpful so I did receive good service. Here’s my real issue and an important one. The score of 87 on their inspection which is hidden sitting out of plain view like it’s supposed to be. That’s something that concerns me and is very unsettling. I would eat here again but if I come back and the score is not over 90 I won’t ever return. I would think the place does enough business to afford getting some newer tables and chairs. The definition of a hole in the wall resturaunt. One would easily drive by without stopping. Take a chance and go inside... mismatched tables and booths, and random decor and a self serve buffet, await. Their food is really good, think dinner at grandma's. The steak and gravy is a staple on the buffet, as is the fried chicken. There is a rotating protein every day of the week.(fried prokchop Monday, bbq goat Tuesday, fried fish friday,etc...) How to rate this place? The food is outstanding. Greatest southern cooking you will find anywhere except at your grandmother's house. Service just fair. Employees were pleasant and friendly except there was no one cleaning off tables. Find an empty table if you are lucky, or share a table with others, and just brush away dirty plates left by a previous diner. No one will clean the table. The place is a literal dump. Gross building and interior. Looks like a restaurant from 1940 that hasn't been cleaned painted, or updated since then. I hate to see what the kitchen looks like.
