La Cabana — Restaurant in Athens-Clarke County Unified Government

We went here because nobody else was open on New Years Eve, our mistake. The food was mid at best, the exact same song was playing the entire time we were there and the wait staff was inattentive to say the least. I ordered the chili relleno and taco and my boyfriend ordered the steak burrito. His seamed ok but was lacking in seasoning, my chili relleno was a bell pepper slapped on top of some unseasoned ground beef with cheese on top and the taco I got was a stale hard taco shell with the same beef and cheese. The only redeeming food was the salsa that came with the chips. We also ordered queso upon sitting down which never came but we were still charged for. I hate to trash a business, but we went here based on the reviews. Not sure who writes these reviews. I had the #5 combo. "Beef" burrito, taco, beans and rice. Worst Mexican food I've ever had. Taco Bell is a step up from this place. Actually, the ground beef at Taco Bell tastes like filet mignon compared to this place. The burrito was a step up from a TV dinner burrito. I couldn't even eat the entire taco, the "ground beef" didn't taste like any I've ever had. Not sure what the "ground beef" really was, but it was like a pureed, hamburger mush that came out of a tube. Terrible. I'd post a pic of it if I could. Good was pretty good so was the service but the portion of a ltg APC WAS VERY POOR I wasn't any rice and I feel it was a small just put in a lrg plate smh. Then I was over charged with the percentage of using a card then the taxes was awful. My order was 14 then with card it was 16. +Taxes I will never go there again I like the one in Hartwell...
