This morning was my first trip to TB&B. The only reason I gave a four star on "Atmosphere" is because they were low on staff and inside dining was close, so I couldn't say one way or the other about the atmosphere inside. There was Drive-thru only. I can say the place was SPOTLESS. It looked like you could eat off of every parking space and walk-way. The drive-thru had a pre-order menu board to review prior to the mic/speaker for order...Something I really appreciate at a drive-thru. The lady on the speaker was kind, patient, and communicated very well in a voice with tone and annunciation of a radio disc jockey. When I got to the window, the lady was friendly and very thorough about making sure I had everything I needed,...cream, sugar, jelly, etc. The coffee was very good black, though I did add cream and sugar...still good. I got the breakfast platter with grits. And, I also got a small side of gravy. It was FANTASTIC! It was a breakfast right out of my Grandmother's kitchen. The portions have every other breakfast spot beat...by a wide margin. It's not cheap, but you certainly get what you pay for...and then some. In my humble opinion, that is the way to serve any meal. I would suggest if the dining room is closed, just eat at one of the very clean tables outside. I'll certainly be back, and hope you will as well. It was a great...
Read moreDrive thru only, really? This place has fantastic, good ol' American breakfast biscuits, all the meats, and gravy, and cheese grits! The staff works very hard and the owner runs a tight ship, a hallmark of their success at this location. The inside is very small, very clean, and best suited for to-go orders. There are a few stools and some outside tables, but between 6AM and 8AM, customers are eager to get in, grab a great breakfast to go, and get on their way to work. This biscuit place will often have entire crews of customers (for example, a landscaping crew headed to a jobsite) that will drive their trailers and other large rigs into the parking lot and go inside to place big orders. Large trailers and other large equipment won't fit through this restaurant's drive-thru tight clearances, it's just too narrow. But several times lately (like today), there has been a handwritten "Drive Thru Only" sign taped to the entrance door. And customers can't see the sign until they park, get out of the vehicle, get to the door, only to find it locked (next to the blinking "open" sign). I guess they might be short staffed like so many restaurants these days, but I think they lose a lot of core business when they turn away walk-in customers...especially entire crews of hungry guys looking to purchase a cathead biscuit. One star, because well, we...
Read moreI gave this place a try because of recommendations. I have tried it a total of four times. The first time time was okay, the second time I received the wrong item, the third time the meat was uncooked and today the steak biscuit was over cooked and dried out. I understand why I was asked if I wanted jelly with my order(which I said no) but later regretted because at least could have had something for breakfast when I got to work. I know I will not be going, not on my dime. It would be nice to be greeted with smile. The only thing that was ok was...
