I walked in and the lil diner looks nice. Rather cozy. Now for the not so fun part. The review. Unlike so many people I plan to tell it like it is. As a consumer I see people giving establishments a 5 star review that is simply not accurate. First my drink. I order a water. It was undrinkable. If the water is bad please realize it effects ever dish you serve. Your even washing your hands and dishes in undrinkable water as well. My girlfriend got chicken strips amd mashed potatoes. Potatoes were good. The corn however!!!! If your going to use a huge #10 can for your vegetable please attempt to drain the water from them and add a slight bit of creation Even if it's salt and pepper. Please don't serve mushy tasteless corn soaking in it's own water. Now I had their 1-2 slab of ribs and fries. The fries weren't bad at all. The meat served with a brushing of bbq. Perfect amount of bbq but the cut of meat??? What the hell was that? It wasn't spare ribs. If you served those at a bbq place you wouldn't have even qualified for last place with them. Now i know this isn't a bbq restraunt so I wasn't expecting perfection. The flavo r wasn't horrible but the ribs alone get a .5 star....
Read moreI ordered a crispy chicken wrap with tomato added ($9.59) it was the size of the $3.99 McWraps when those were still around and fried mushrooms ($5.99) of which there were maybe 15 all were quite small and came from the freezer. I placed my order for pickup and wasn't given a heads up that there would be a charge for paying by card, so my total was $17.17. It would seem the place is understaffed due to there being two people in the back (from what I could see) and the one at the register who was also waiting tables (there were way more tables than I expected and most occupied I can only assume it's due to the rural location). The outside is kinda sketchy looking since the only thing that says it's not just a house is the awkwardly placed sign and large dirt patch parking area. After opening the outermost door, you're in a liminal vestibule with picnic tables for extra seating and some old...
Read moreThis is just a simple small restaurant with excellent food and friendly staff. The menu is quite extensive for such a small place. We stopped in for a very light lunch while traveling and decided to have a bowl of the potato soup, which was excellent. I'm not aware of a website but I did see a "like us on Facebook" sign, so I suppose they have a page there, but I haven't looked. One note for Google Maps: Maps thinks that the road in front of the restaurant is a divided highway, which it is not. So if you ask Google for directions and you are coming from the south you will be directed around the block (left on Blank Street, then right, right, right turns and right into the parking lot) to get there. In reality you can see the restaurant from the Blank Street intersection where Google tells you to turn left, so just continue ahead (north) for 300 feet and make a left turn into the...
