This food was authentic, full of flavor, high quality ingredients used and is apparent that every dish is prepared with pure love! It was so good, I immediately dig into my plate and forgot to snap a few photos. Looks like I’m going to need to return sooner than later so I can try some other items and take some photos before devouring my meal.

The restaurant was clean and vibrant. Classic Caribbean tunes played in the background while we awaited our freshly prepared to order dishes. The Owners and Chefs greeted us and gave amazing recommendations. The vibe was so welcoming and the anticipation of freshly prepared authentic Caribbean dishes was building by the second! When our beautiful dishes emerged from that magical kitchen, Baby……..all was right with the world at that moment!

We had the Brown Stew Chicken and the Jerk Chicken. They were accompanied by Rice and Peas, a Plantain slice and Sautéed Cabbage. The portions were generous and the ingredients were vibrant, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. I’ve been to Jamaica so many times that I’m now on my 3rd Passport. When I tell you, it was The Best Jamaican food that has ever crossed these lips, I mean it! Spectacular food! I have no doubt that the next dishes I try are going to be equally impressive. They also have a variety of specialty Rum Cakes, Ice Cream, Patties, Festival and an extensive selection of natural fruit juices and sodas. Come check them out! You will be addicted...

The food was delicious!! Please see before and after photos! I would’ve preferred more vegetables and more meat. But I’ll just ask for that next time. We used to go to a place in Huntsville that was MAGICAL but they’ve closed so we were super excited to have something open in Athens Alabama, of all places. Unfortunately, the guy they have working the register/dining room was AWFUL! Rude, unfriendly.

For example (and this wasn’t the only negative interaction): Me: what flavors of wings do yall have? Him: we don’t have wings. Me: okay when you DO have wings what flavors? Him: not much, jerk

However, the cook came out and was super nice and friendly. So for her, I will return. They are quite expensive. The plate pictured was the oxtail combo with jerk chicken and it was $37 after tax. My husband and I shared. We will be going back but will either order ahead or do like tonight and go in and get it to go. 4 stars because of the rude...

I ordered the Brown Stew Chicken plate, which came with beans and rice, a cabbage blend, and some plantain slivers.

My wife ordered the Vegetarian plate, with a full serving of the cabbage blend, rice and beans, and the slivers of plantain.

It did take a while for us to receive our meal, only because each dish seems to be made to-order, so I didn't mind the wait. It's still a very small operation, so I don't fault attention to detail at all.

The brown stew chicken just melts off the bone, it's so tender! Flavorful, cooked to perfection 👌

The sides are also very tasty, staples of a hearty meal for sure.

I highly recommend calling in your order and picking it up. Also, their Facebook page has their daily menu items, as they cook certain items daily and others are on a rotation.

Please give them a shot, a welcome vibe change from all the Mexican and Chicken restaurants...
