Whataburger — Restaurant in Atlanta

This was my first time trying whataburger. It was connected to a gas stop so we stopped for fuel and decided to get breakfast. As i walked in the gas station cashier just stared at me and next thing I knew three of the whataburger employees came on the gas station side and just stood around as if they were observing me. While i was in the bathroom i heard a gentleman ask another lady coming out the bathroom was anyone else in there…. When she told him yes i was coming out and noticed it was a whataburger employee ( white male with glasses) asking her that. As i walked back up to the counter in the gas station i still observed two whataburger employees observing us in the gas station so my husband to me just go over and order. As i started to order, we observed the SAME whataburger employees that followed us around the gas station stand up front with the cashier ( i asked my husband did they think we were stealing or trying to rob them…. They made us feel uncomfortable and unwanted). I ordered a white chocolate peppermint coffee . She first gave me an Iced coffee…. I told her i didn’t want an Iced Coffee….. she tells me i didn’t say if i wanted iced or warm…. I told her she didn’t ask me either…. Don’t assume…. Ask. So i hear them in the back asking do you put cream in the warm WHITE CHOCOLATE PEPPERMINT COFFEE…. When i get it…. They gave me black coffee…. Now…. I’m passed irritated and ready to go. A guy with a black coat on can sense I’m irritated and he asked was everything OK…. I told him i got a black coffee when i asked for the WHITE CHOCOLATE PEPPERMINT….. now he tells me they don’t put flavored cream in the warm coffee unless i ask for it…… Im thinking are you SERIOUS. I’m point to a poster in their lobby and reading what it says… once again…. Don’t assume….. ask… especially if you have different ways of fixing it from what you advertised. When i get the coffee back it’s now… “cold” from adding the cream and not being heated or reheated. At this point i took my food and left. When i got in the car….. the daggone order was wrong. My receipt was right…. But my actual food was wrong….. instead of bacon burrito we got a sausage burrito. And Instead of the Bob breakfast sandwich we got a biscuit. I think if they would have focused more on customer service…. They would have gotten my order right. They had 4 opportunities and messed them all up. NOT A GOOD...

Even when their drive thru access was driven Thru with wild abandon leaving customers to venture inside…I did. The dine in traffic visibly more full but the organized and clean presentation of the drink station and tables was all still on points. None of the staff showed signs of additional stress of the situation and the service remained focused and fast. Wasn’t until I wanted to share a photo of my sandwich was it apparent that sometimes u gotta read deeper into things. I couldn’t make the photos I took look cleaner cuz the sandwich was straight messy. I had full on samples of the feature topping all over my face and chin and fingers….and this is not something of a norm for me (at all). On a time crunch of lunch hour i had to muscle tbru less the photo shoot however so please know the only improvement could be to add a backup set of TX toast bread to use once the initial bread bedding is soaked Thru. I ordered avocado bacon burger. Substitute the pepper sauce with Whatasauce. The bacon…not like standard food service bacon…too crunchy to taste or so brittle it breaks and falls out. There was an abundance of bacon cooked soft enuf it could be bitten as part of each bite….hanging out and off of all edges of the bread and covered all beef patty area. Then the Avacado wasn’t just a few slices that slide off the sandwich as u bite in…but was a somewhat mushed fresh and full of flavor added with the recognition that avocado was literally part of the main ingredients of this menu item. I had several days worth of this same sandwich wondering if I had hit on a fluke day….nawwww…this was good stuff. As for the Fries…always a Huge perfect for me. I love limp (in no way under) cooked and my man likes crisp (not over cooked) fries. There is always a perfect Marriage of both in each order from this location. Only exposure I’ve had pleasure of dining with this chain has been this Location. It’s something to write home about!! If u dig avocado bacon burgers…yasss. Yummm. Score...

Though it's only been 5 days, usually when a business opens... the first couple of days are so-so. Not with this one. They came in and handled the crazy amount of traffic and customers flawlessly. We've ordered roughly 20+ meals here total since they've opened, and every single order has been correct. They've gotten us through even the longest lines in a timely manner, are polite, and did I mention the food is fresh and great? What a great addition to Atlanta, TX!

After numerous opportunities, I must change my review. We've ordered curbside pickup numerous and all but 1 time, we've had issues. Tonight was the last straw.

We ordered pickup and proceeded to make our way to Whataburger. We got there, checked in, and waited. We watched 6 cars go through the drive through, and waited 10 minutes after it said it was ready, to go in and check on it. The lady acted as if the food had BEEN ready, and proceeded to say she just got back from break. SURELY there is another designated individual to take pickup orders out when someone is on break, right? She then handed my wife the drink cups to go fill up for herself, when everything was supposed to be ready for PICKUP - which is the entire purpose of ordering PICKUP.
