In case you dont read my whole rant, blue moon it is 5 miles away MUCH BETTER FOOD AND ICECREAM MUCH BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE and it's even cheaper for the same items some items are less than half of what this place charges and taste better than this place even when it's made properly! Sorry for the rant but I just wanted this known and I hope you, too take your service elsewhere! Wouldn't give them even 1 star if I didn't have to. Let me start by saying i used to absolutely LOVE this place. The weekday daytime adults that work their are great, never had issues with anything while an adult was working there. Now, after 4 and on weekends they have rude, bratty, teenagers working there and that is putting it nicely. One time my fiance and I got pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw and their sweet corn nuggets (we've been there multiple times at this point with no issues) but the bag of sweet corn nuggets had 3 nuggets in it this time, we did not receive our coleslaw at all, and the pulled pork sandwiches had a very very light drizzle of BBQ on the pork, which was fatty, with very large chunks that were not shredded well and were cold, We took one bite and decided we didn't want to wait another 25 minutes or more to recieve our other items and ask them to remake it once we got to the window and explained what happened and they got an extremely pompous and irritated tone with us and were full of attitude so when they said "well give them back we will remake them I guess"(with some eye rolling) we said no thank you you can take them back we don't have any need for them but we'd just like a refund please and the blonde slender teenager with green eyes that works there said "we can't do that" I said why? To which she responded we aren't giving you any refunds I won't do that I'll give you the managers number and you can discuss it with him" we declined and said we'd like a refund so we can take our money elsewhere and use it to eat, she screamed at us to leave or call the manager then slammed the window door and walked away, we sat there until she decided to come back and again asked for a refund, she rolled her eyes and gave us a refund and said good luck then laughed, we thought maybe it was just her so we went back 3 days later and got pulled pork again, it was a different teenager that answered the window then I saw that the blonde teen was working behind her and as soon as we made eye contact the person we were talking to shut the door on us and the blonde came and took our order, we got the pulled pork and there was SOOO much BBQ sauce it was completely inedible and was oozing out of the sandwich out of the wrapper to the point the entire bag was drenched in BBQ, so we took it back and said "I'm sorry I know last time I was here we complained there wasn't any BBQ on the sandwich, this time there's n insane amount is there anyway you could remake it with just a reasonable normal amount of BBQ please" and she took the food back into the kitchen that we had in our car already again. And then gave us back what I can only assume we're the same sandwiches with BBQ but the bun was soaked in it still and you could see where they had just scraped off BBQ. So we just left and refuse to go back. We now go to blue moon it is 5 miles away MUCH BETTER FOOD AND ICECREAM MUCH BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE and it's even cheaper for the same items some items are less than half of what this place charges and taste better than this place even when it's made properly! Auburn Dairy Freeze is on Main Street.

These guys put out a post with five dogs all dressed differently. On Tuesdays, they are $1.25. I knew I had to go.

The five dog variations included, the classic mustard, onion and sauce, The next one was exactly that but with a stripe of mayonnaise across the top. They had one with nacho cheese on it, one with shredded cheese on it, and the last one had about half a jalapeno sliced on top.

These dogs were made on a flat top. The sauce was that nice mix of slightly greasy without being too much. When I put out the initial post, people really attacked mayonnaise on the dog. It really wasn't enough of a difference to really feel like it was out of place. I use horseradish a lot on my dogs and brats, so I didn't have any problems.

For the great argument between nacho cheese versus shredded cheese, I guess I found a winner, because I really enjoyed the nacho cheese one. It was a little more messy, but freaking fantastic!

The jalapeno dog was a little hard to eat since the rings stuck out of the top. There were six or seven slices. Wonderful for photos, but I feel like three or four would have been more fitting.

To wash it down, I selected a strawberry shake. The shake was made with real strawberries. It was an excellent compliment to the tray of dogs.

The fries they offer are called thin fries. They take an entire potato and cut it for your order. This is definitely shareable. Texture wise, they are somewhat similar to Arby's fries.

After having all that, I was presented with a tasting cone that was half lemon half raspberry. It was so so good! I would definitely make a trip just for a full size version of it.

These guys have about 8 large tables around the building to eat at, plus the Jeep from the zoo which is always a great trigger for nostalgia. They also have a drive-up window. It was busy the entire time I was there, but it definitely moved quickly.

The current owners have had the business for about 3 years. However, the location has been near continuously in business for about 70 years. The owners are really nice and I feel like they are going to be around for...

Dairy Freeze is really cute with an extensive menu ranging from "Tornado" ice cream treats to Nachos to legit (per their menu) 1 lb of French fry meals 😋 Honestly, we're going back for a lunch date just to try those.

They have a walk-up or drive-thru to order. We did the walk-up so we could see how the atmosphere is, and while the location is on a busy road, it didn't take away from the overall experience.

🌸 Friendly employee was a major plus

We both ordered smoothies, the husband ordered a strawberry banana, and I ordered a mixed berry....YUM!!! There were literally chunks of the fruits, and that is my favorite thing in a smoothie because texture is key. The wait wasn't long, but the taste would have been worth it (this might be why we've always seen lines to order) because it's THAT GOOD!

We sat at a picnic table to enjoy our beverages, and the ONLY negative thing is the ants that also wanted to enjoy our order. (I'm huge on not harming insects, so they didn't bother me too much, but a non-toxic distraction for them could be beneficial)

My rating is 4.75 based on our first experience (my husband doesn't like the wilderness trying to share his food or drink), but I'm betting that after we try those 1lb french fry meals, the party in our mouths will definitely boost that up.

If you find yourselves in or around the Auburn area, I highly recommend stopping in...

Love this place! I’ve gotten ice cream here many times. I ordered fries with shredded pork. The fries are hand cut, thin curly fries. The nacho cheese sauce is slightly spicy. I put it on half, which was plenty. I omitted the jalapeños. It was a lot of fries!! There is no inside seating, but several tables outside. I opted to sit in the cemetery which it backs up to for some quiet and sunshine.
