Auburn House of Pizza — Restaurant in Auburn

Hi, Fab here. I have lived in New England for over 20 years. I'm an avid Fisherwoman and photographer; I am always near lake Massabesic. I have had several meals at Auburn House of Pizza and I've gotten to know the owners and employees; they are very friendly and respectful. The food is worth every penny. I personally like the steak tips, spaghetti w/ meatballs and Steak & Cheese sub. Tony (the co-owner w/ his wife) tells me his calzones are amazing. I have yet to try one but I will.

I'm all about saving money or getting as much as I can for my money. This local New England restaurant gives you a lot of food for your money and the food is better than the majority of similar restaurants in this area. If you are fishing or doing anything near Lake Massabesic, you have got to stop at Auburn House of Pizza, you won't be disappointed.

We're so lucky to have this gem available in our quaint little town. My favorite thing here is the Greek salad. OMG. Seriously. Fresh, mixed lettuce, crispy cucumbers, RED tomatoes (yes, even in the dead of winter - they even have flavor, too, not like those weird pink "tomatoes" you might get on salads elsewhere, especially at a chain place), tangy red onion, delicious and generous feta, and briny olives, with a wonderful dressing on the side. Whether you get it as a side or entree (with or without a protein), this salad screams fresh, and it is one of my favorite dinners.

Pizzas are delicious - the sauce isn't too sweet (ugh - sweet sauce on a pizza is a pet peeve), and the crust is tasty and crispy, not soggy, with flavorful toppings.

Burgers and sandwiches are tasty (the cheeseburger sub, meatball sub, and the Italian sub are standouts to us - again, fresh ingredients thoughtfully prepared make such a difference).

We’ve ordered for pick up a few times and their pizza is good. Not amazing, just good. Sandwiches and salads are ok too. In two different occasions I have used their online ordering for delivery and the order goes through, I get an email and then they later send me an email canceling my order. So we are left waiting for pizza that never comes, Until I check my email and realize they’ve cancelled it. No reason given, no phone call, nothing. I understand that they don’t have delivery people sometimes and I get that could be a reason to cancel, but if your website is letting me order for delivery just to let it go through and cancel it a few minutes later, I think that’s horrible service. Maybe just take off the online ordering from the website or call me and tell me you have no delivery people and maybe I’ll decide...
