Canary Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Auglaize Township

My wife and I went there in January of 2023 for the first time since they remodeled the place. It is very nice on the inside and looks like a nice place to hang out outside. The menu was decent for being a bar. There was a good selection of different foods as well as a good selection of smoked foods. We started off with fried cheese curds and fried pickle straws. They were both excellent. The cheese curds were really good, the breading was different than most. The pickle straws were something different as usually the restaurants have Spears that are too big, these were just right. The wife had smoked chicken and mac and cheese. She said they were great! I had the three smoked meat plate which had pulled pork, pulled chicken and smoked sausage. I thought the smoked sausage was a little overseasoned but it was still good. Had an amazing experience her Saturday night. Our server was amazing!! so sweet and personable. At the end of our meal she said it was her first night!! We were all shocked, would've never known. Our appetizers were fresh and delicious. Cheese curds and pretzel bites were warm and fresh. Pickle fries were accidentally brought to our table but our waitress let us try them; they were also delicious. At this point we’re thinking it’s worth it just for appetizers!! Went in and got a to go order today. It took a long time to Get my order especially with as many people that we're in there which was very few. I live about five minutes from the place and when I got home everything was cold. I don't mean a little cold.I mean , cold like it sat around before they gave it to me. Ordered my burger medium well and it was way overcooked and very dry. Couldn't even eat the whole thing. The flatbread and fries were also cold Couldn't finish either one of those either.
