Galle's Seafood — Restaurant in Augusta

I hadn't had Galle's in years and I don't know why I stopped eating here. I never had a bad experience here or anything. So it behooves me why I had been here in a long time!!! This place is right around the corner from my house to, so it is really a big mystery that I think Scooby Doo and his team can solve!!!

I had a craving for fried fish and okra all weekend long. I had to get some because I would died, literally. If I don't satisfy my craving, anything I eat won't satisfy me until I get what I have been craving!!! The food settled my craving and so much more.

First off, the service was exception. Everyone from the owner to the cooks to the employee cutting the grass greeted me so warmly. They may have been flirting a bit, but that's a different story!!! Lol!!! I saw that they had filleted Bream. I can't eat fish with a bone, it always has to be filleted. I ordered double okra and the meal also came with 3 hush puppies. I always request that my fish is fried extra crispy. The owner made sure my order was correct before he put it in. This was the first fish market I ate in that they actually pulled the fish from the display cooler and cook it for you for one of the dinners.

The cook came out and assured me he cooked the fish to my specifications, that was another first!!! The food was AMAZING!!! The cook even put mustard and hot sauce inside my box without me asking for it!!! That's the only way I eat my fried fish. The okra was very tasty as well, seasoned to perfection.

I always love finding quality fish markets because lately a lot of the fish markets I frequent have been going down hill with their service and quality of food. I hope this meal wasn't a fluke and they are this good all the time!!! I'm ready for my next round of...

Firstly the people seem like decent people so it's nothing against them. But I called yesterday about a 10 pound box of fish. I wasn't told anything else besides it would cost me 79.95$ so as the customer that's what I'm expecting. I get there and it rings up 95$ which is crazy for all natural flounder 10 pound box compared to everyone else like Johnny's. Or island seafood who has wild caught. So the owner tells me he can do 85. That it has to be pre-ordered and a deposit down to get it at 79.95$ I drove 30 plus min based off what your employee said.. he then tells me I should got more info.. like what? What customer would assume after being told a price there's More details to it.. moral of the story. He could had gave me the 79.95$ price he just chose not too and that's unfortunate. My father was with me whos a retired master first Sgt in this area fort Gordon And I'm also a former celebrity chef who loves Great fish and was told to come here.. so it shows me the owner not giving us that fish for a 6$ difference and era on his employee part of not telling us we needed to preorder was poor...

I bought two (2) pounds of jumbo shrimp and five (5) whole red snapper fish. I requested my five (5) whole fish be cleaned and each to be cut into two (2) equal half making it ten (10) in total. After about forty-five (45) minutes of waiting, the owner called my number and I went inside, payed for the fish and shrimp and left. I drove home and dropped the package in my freezer. A week later I took the package out of the freezer to cook for my visitors and noticed the fish was 9-half pieces instead of ten (10) and the shrimp was less than a pound after defrosting. I immediately called Galles and a worker picked up the phone and after listening to me, told me to talk to the owner and the person made me feel he was handing the phone to the owner. The owner after listening to me also told me that he’s about to hand the phone to the owner (second time).
