I got hired here as a driver. The owner Luis came off semi unprofessional yet down to earth, which is expected for a pizza place, overall, good guy from what I've seen, he takes care of his family amd that's to be respected. However his business practices are shotty at best. Being a driver part time for Luis was stressful, he's impossible to communicate with at times, him and his cousin will ignore repeated requests and play on their cell phones. I was lied to about pay multiple times and if it wasn't for fellow drivers having went through it already I would have been exploited and taken advantage of. He told me to sign a contract a week after I'd already been driving for him. The reason I was to sign the contract, being that my girlfriend was with me bc I had to pick her up from class, wasn't even a part of the contract he was forcing me to sign while holding my job over my head as leverage. I read through the contract while Luis told fellow employees to and I quote "shut up this has nothing to do with you!". The contract was a year out of date and the pay was a dollar less than I had been recieving, and if I don't sign I get let go. Hmmm sounds pretty irresponsible for a manager to act so foolishly. Enough about me though, lets get into how disgusting these guys are behind the counter with the food they sell people. I've seen sweat drip and hair fall into food, no gloves, no hair nets, and they sneeze and wipe snot from their face and then go back to touching food. They hardly ever wash their hands, and I mean like once a night at best, while touching raw meets. They talk vigorously over the food they prepare essentially spitting on everything that is cooked there. Absolutely appalling, unsanitary, and irresponsible behavior that leads me to believe this store needs...
Read moreI don't order from here often, but when I have in the past, the pizza has been good. This last order will more than likely be our last, though. Ordered a pizza on the way home, planning on picking it up then heading home. Whomever was doing the call was either not holding the phone to their ear or was just keeping it on their shoulder because we had to ask for them to speak up multiple times. We placed the order and had to repeat it twice because they weren't paying attention, so that was aggravating. When we got there to pick it up we were told "7 more minutes", and since we don't live too far away, we paid and ran home to drop people off and come back, which took about 15 minutes. After I came back, the girl at the counter was confused on what order it was, for some reason she didn't recall 15 minutes ago, and then told me that it would be 10 minutes before the pizza was done. Naturally, I asked why since I had just been told that the food would be done in 7 minutes, left for 15 and came back to be told to wait for another 10, she had no idea and then the "huddle" in the kitchen happened, and eventually someone came out to tell me that the order still was not done (with no reason on the 7 minute thing from before.) I asked them how they were going to make this right, since I was already told that the order should have been done (at this point) 20 minutes ago. He offered $15 credit to a future order, which was fine, but I'm not planning on coming back, so I asked for two bottles of soda also. He said OK, and I went home to open the pizza and discover they had forgotten to put olives on the "supreme" and just threw a couple handfuls of cold olives on the top, not awful, but pretty much the cherry on top of the whole thing. Won't be ordering...
Read moreWarning: LONG REVIEW; I HAVE A LOT TO SAY. My husband placed an order for a medium pizza at 1:16pm today. The guy on the phone said it will be ready in 20 minutes. We get there at 1:35. He said its going to be another 10 mins. We waited the 10 mins, my husband went back in and the pizza STILL wasnt ready; now we both are starting to get frustrated. Mind you, my husband's job is about a couple of minutes away thats why we ordered here so he will have time to eat some pizza before going into work which he has to be at at 2:00pm. At this point we were ready to just say forget it and get our money back. My husband asked him how long now and we ended up getting the pizza at 1:50pm. On top of the pizza being 15 mins late the guy who was working the register and making the pizza did not wash his hands in between completing transactions and making pizzas (a few other customers came in to get single slices while we waited). With COVID19 going around, that was very irresponsible of the employee working there. We usually have great experiences with this particular Maciano's but this time was different. It ruined our mood because the pizza was not even up to par as usual. If the pizza was going to take longer than 20 mins the person on the phone shouldve told us that and we would've went somewhere to get faster food but at least we wouldnt be dissapointment customers because of it. This honestly makes us not want to order from here anymore, sadly. To future customers: When you come here to get food make sure to tell them if you have time restrictions and when you go in to get your food double check to see if they are following food safety rules because this is...
