Pomodoro Pizza Pasta LLC — Restaurant in Aurora

We have been in this small restaurant several times. But on Sunday we didn’t have the best experience. We had a group of 10 people and a baby, at first the waitresses though we were joking but when we told her that actually we were 10 people and a baby they looked shocked and just looked to each other. We understand that they have small tables so when they proceed to put tables together to accommodate us, I asked her if we can add another table so 3 tables in total. Her answer was NO. I was shocked, and insisted (pointed at the table that we could add) I told her that we needed more space that two small tables wasn’t enough for 10 people + a baby in a high chair so 11 total. Again, her answer was NO that the table that I pointed was reserved, and that I asked at what time was the reservation. The two waitresses looked at each other and one answer at 5pm I looked at the time was 4:20. They proceed to put the two small tables together. Three of my relatives sat at round table next to the two the table they put together, I asked them to sit with us that we didn’t have another option because we went to have a FAMILY DINNER. When the waitress took our order, she skip me and was about to turn around when I told her my order. Also, my sister mention and I didn’t know was that when one of our guests asked the waitress for a straw, she throw the straw on the table. Later on, I noticed that she also placed a reserved sing on the round table where the three people sat at the beginning. WELL GUESS WHAT THE RESERVATION that she said it was at 5pm for the table that I asked to be added to the other two, NEVER SHOW UP. We stay for about 2 hours and we were the only table until like 15min before we left another party of 3 came in. I’m not sure how to feel about this. As a restaurant owner myself this customer service is...

Excellent food from the new owners. The pizza is fantastic NY style with a chewy crust and good sauce. It's my go-to for pizza in Aurora cause they're quick and it's a good value.

Finally got the chance to eat in and try some of the italian food on the menu. The eggplant rollatini was amazing. Perfectly cooked, lots of cheese and sauce, the spinach in the filling was fresh. Honestly, next time I'll probably just get that with a side of pasta. It would be plenty and only $8!

My friend's lasagna was really good but not great. It didn't have a lot of structural integrity, so it kind of fell apart. Good flavor, but not the best I've had.

I had the fruiti di mare - linguine with spicy(ish) marinara and TONS of seafood. Even though it was $24, it honestly should have been more with the amount of seafood they included. 5 big shrimp, mussels, clams, calamari - all delicious. I loved the huge pieces of garlic. Sauce could've used a bit more of a kick though. Wasn't spicy at all. Huge portion and really tasty!

Only thing I've had there I didn't like were the garlic knots. They don't have much garlic flavor and they're always undercooked and doughy in the middle. I mentioned it as feedback, so hopefully they re-think those.

Aaaaand the cannoli. I'm not a cannoli fan, but DANG these were good! The cream is thicker than I've had previously and that was an upgrade. The shell had actual flavor and wasn't just a crunchy mess. Almost tasted like a waffle cone. I'll definitely get those...

Not sure why there’s reviews from almost a year ago on here when this new spot “POMODORO PIZZA PASTA” opened up late March/ early April of 2022 BUT my oh my 😏 I was waiting for Aurora to have a place with this style and quality of Pizza 😏 Gloria is a sweet heart! I appreciate her kind service and the way she treated my mother; it goes a long way for me. Been here twice already, one to go and one for dine-in. Both amazing experiences 👌🏽 Amazing crust, mozza sticks shows long strings when you split one apart, pasta Alfredo with shrimp was a dream, garlic knots were spot on, sub was amazing as well as the calamari! Don’t miss out on the sweet tasty cannoli’s! 😋 Even the cheese slices were elite 🤌🏽When you fold them, the pizza don’t fall apart nor does it get messy. White-t-shirt friendly here 😎 Lastly, I work at a school near here and I am putting my kids on this fine place so they can know what good pizza looks, smells and taste like 😏 To Gloria and the rest of the Pomodoro team, thank you so much for everything!
