I Ordered 2 lamb Rogan Josh 2 orders of garlic naan but the orders were so small it should have been considered 1 meal the 2 portion sizes came with literally 5 small pieces of lamb cubes in each order. I'm so disappointed because the first time was a bigger portion and tasted better I paid $36 for 10 small pieces of lamb 2 breads and rice and the taste was subpar. My advice to you A1 dhaba don't lose customers over your lack of integrity for a dollar. I travel all over the country to find the best authentic Indian food and yours is by far the worst I've ever had but if you're ever in Chicago you have to try the Himalayan Restaurant, now they have some great food with big portions for the same price. I forgot to mention be careful because they use their bare hands while preparing food while eating in the kitchen which is a health violation so I won't be returning...
Read moreMy husband and I went here today for lunch. I would say our overall experience was mid. The atmosphere is not great, looks like it’s in an old breakfast restaurant and they haven’t changed much to make it look like an Indian restaurant. The parking lot is not in a very good state and it’s kind of confusing where to park. The service wasn’t too bad, but a little slow for it just being us in there. They were out of a few things that we wanted to try which was unfortunate. The food we did have was good. My husband said his butter chicken wasn’t the best he has had though. The chicken pieces were kinda dry. Also the rice portion was very small compared to other Indian restaurants. We didn’t have a chance to look at the bill when were given it because the server expected us to give him our card right away. I would’ve preferred being able to look at what we...
Read moreMy husband and I were rather excited to find an Indian restaurant in the small town of Austin, Indiana, And stopped in for dinner on a recent road trip. We were hoping for a hidden gem, But the food and atmosphere were mediocre. We ordered vegetable pakoras, A very common appetizer in Indian restaurants, but we’re told they don’t have them. We ordered samosas instead, which came out nice and hot On the outside, but were cold in the middle. They were otherwise tasty. The chutneys were Thin and sauce like, but not bad. Our Entrées were good, but not the best. The naan was quite good, however. As others have said, the wait staff was very attentive And courteous. The restaurant was previously a Huddle House restaurant, and no attempt has been made to change the decor. Indian pop music was playing in the background which added positively to...
