During a recent out-of-town trip, this spot was suggested to us. I was immediately drawn to its cozy, small-town vibe, especially with the sound of a live band welcoming us as we arrived. We pulled up, walked in, and were promptly seated for two. The place offers both indoor and outdoor dining options—we opted for outdoor this time, and it didn’t disappoint. We ordered beers and strawberry margaritas to drink. The margaritas were tasty, though I’d have preferred the beer on tap rather than in bottles, but it was fine. For an appetizer, we went with fried pickles, which were delicious, though the accompanying ranch dip left something to be desired—perhaps a homemade specialty sauce would’ve elevated it. For our entrees, we chose the cowboy ribeye (ordered medium rare) with okra and sautéed mushrooms, and the filet mignon (ordered medium well) with a side salad and baked sweet potato. The steaks were decent but missed the mark on cooking precision—both were overdone compared to what we requested—and could’ve used a bit more seasoning or char for flavor. The okra and mushrooms were highlights, cooked perfectly. The sweet potato, however, was a letdown; it arrived cold, so the butter wouldn’t even melt into it. We were too full to try dessert. The waitress and hostess were fantastic—friendly and attentive. While the food alone wouldn’t prompt me to recommend this place, the charming small-town atmosphere and overall experience make it worth a visit. The steaks were just okay, but the vibe might win you over.

First, reservations are highly recommended for dinner. The walk-in wait was 30-45 minutes. We were seated at a very nice table until my wife felt something very cold on her back. We looked up and she was under a AC vent that dripping water. Not only that, it had fuzzy stuff growing on the vent. NOT A GOOD START! We asked for a different table given the circumstances and they quickly moved us to a different table. Not under a AC vent. Charlene greeted us with a warm smile and was quick to our needs. We ordered the riblets. They looked great but weren't hot. They replaced them with hot ones. The riblets were really good and looked like normal ribs. The main entrees came and all the hype about their steaks were spot on! Made to order and we're perfect! Charlene was great during the whole evening. She gave us complete history of the restaurant and the family ties that made it the great place that is today. The evening was going great until we used the restroom. For such a wonderful place with all the people they have in this restaurant, they need to have better restrooms than what they have. Single use restrooms inside the restaurant didn't make any sense to me. Plus the fact there wasn't any AC in these and no ventilation. What a bummer. If it wasn't for the restrooms and the general cleanliness of the facility, they would have gotten five stars.

Came here on 03/13/19 for the Porter House Special (a 20-ish oz. steak) and got Steamed Broccoli and Fries as sides.

I walked in and got seated fairly quickly, maybe a 10-15 minutes. Got my drink and several rolls and butter. Everything was going smoothly but I get to the 15 minute mark, my cup is empty and waited another 10 minutes for any service to get a refill. Another 40-45 minutes pass and STILL no service, no “Sorry for the wait we are a little empty handed at the moment, it’ll be a few more minutes” or even a “Do you need a refill, Sir?” So naturally I get the attention of a waitress and ask why it had been roughly an hour wait not only for someone to take and the only reply she has for me is “I don’t know, Sir let me check” and just walks off. So then maybe 10 minutes later someone takes my order and i have a 10 minute wait for the food and begin to eat.

The Steak: -The Looks: I got it cooked Medium, not so pink and not so brown. Half of the steak was fine it was cooked great. Now the other half was so pink I feel like it was practically still “Moo-ing” at me. -The Taste: The steak reminded me of I had eaten a tire with salt and pepper on it. There was NO seasoning. So as anyone would do I decided to drown it in A1 Steak Sauce. The slab of meat STILL had NO flavor. I’ve never been here before and this was possibly the WORST first impression.

The Sides: -The Steamed Broccoli: The steamed broccoli came out and was boiling hot which i was exclaimed about, thinking it must’ve been fresh and was going to be quite delicious. This was possibly the biggest disappointment yet. The Steamed Broccoli was clearly frozen, microwaved and the worst part about it was that it was coated in salt and tasted rotten, I still don’t understand how you can mess up Steamed Broccoli SO badly. -The Fries The Fries were... AMAZING! Just about the only thing I’d come back for.

Not to mention I had to use my phone to see my food and menu Now I don’t mean to put this restaurant out of business but someone diffidently needs to take control over the place and...

We made reservations 3 days prior ..Avenger location...Drove over an hour to get there to see a dear friend playing in the band and celebrate his wife's birthday. When we got there we were informed there was an additional $20 dollar per person "cover charge" because of the band ... something they failed to mention when I made reservations. So our night didn't start out on a good note. The food was what I would expect from a high-end steakhouse. But the service was absolutely atrocious for the venue that night. They should have had a minimum of at least 6-8 more wait staff that night. You would think at 20 buck a head cover charge they could have paid for a few more service staff. Ashley did her best to take care of us and was very polite and professional but was definitely stretched too thin. Our appitizers took forever and several came separately, the food arrived tepid not hot, overheard several of the wait staff be rather rude to other patriots. Ive had better service at Dennys. The patio/ outside venue was poorly planned . It was hot and they didnt have enough fans/ coolers for the crowd that was there and what they did have were poorly placed. Overall the whole experience was one of the worst dinning experiences I've had in a long time. If I am gonna pay premium prices for my meal I expect the service to be the same!...Or at the very least above average. Ours was barely average. The food was good the band was awesome but the service absolutely spoiled it all. I blame the owner/ management. They(Management) seemed more intrested in the all mighty dollar than providing a good experience. Very disappointed after hearing such good reviews from friends and locals. I won't be going back to spend my hard earned money...

I love their food usually everytime me and my family go! But this past time I ordered an appetizer and a Cesar salad. The waitress asked me if I wanted the appetizer first and I told her "Yes, I do please" she said "Alright" and continued taking everyone else's order. Then when the waitress came she brought everyone's side salads and my Cesar salad. I was very disappointed in the Cesar salad. It seemed smaller than the side salads along with not being anything like what is expected of a Cesar salad. There are hard boiled eggs usually and I expected a larger salad since I had ordered it from the menu ala carte' (by itself). And then later on after all the salads were brought out I got the appetizer. I really don't think slot of little things would have bothered me as bad if the waitress acted like she was having to go out of her way or she would huff like it bothered her she had to do something that is part of her job. When she asked us what we wanted to order I started telling her what I wanted to eat, then waitress abruptly stopped me and wanted to know if it was going to be separate checks or all on one. After we told her one check she wanted to know who was going to pay...she was told it would get taken care of. She continued on (kinda demanding voice of WHO is going to be paying) the attitude was kinda shrugged off and was replied with a joking and laughing not to worry it will get paid. Well, I'm going to end my book lol...nothing against the restraurant they are normally great! With awesome service...just disappointed in the salad and the service from the waitress didn't seem as bubbly as we are used to getting. Enjoy the great food and great service!...
