Hi, I have to write a review because this is getting terrible. I am a customer at this place but they don’t even care. This is the third time I will be ordering Fried Rice and it’s not fresh but stale, including the fish. I cook too and Fried Rice is not something you store in the freezer and then sell to Customers. The Fried Rice I bought two days ago was thawed fried rice and tasteless. The plantain was also warmed and not fried fresh, same with the fish. This is sad and unfair. The management needs to improve on the quality of their food. If not someone may need to report them to the board of health, Avon. This is really annoying
Hi Everyone, I am responding with a second post (8/10/2024) because of the blatant lies told by the owner of Tambo Kitchen. Instead of responding to my complaints about the thawed Fried Rice and Old Fish and Warmed/Stale Dodo, she came here lying that I made an order by 10am and came to pick it by 4pm. What rubbish. Who does that. I made my order by 2.31pm August 7th 2024 and picked it by 3.18pm August 7th 2024. Attached are screenshots of when I picked my order cos I was told to wait when I got there which is the usual pattern in this place. I will be waiting for another response of lies so I provide further proof because I also did call to complain about the food...
Read morefirst time trying nigerian food and it was delicious! the ladies working there were very nice and friendly, and probably confused by a asian dude strolling in haha.
the place is really small - just 3-4 tables - but i kind of liked that fact. you order up at the window for takeout or dine in.
I got fufu with egusi and goat added on. I dont have a reference point for what it should taste like, but the egusi was very savoury, hearty, and a little spicy. by itself it was good, but adding the goat really added another amazing level of flavour. the goat came on the bone with skin on - it was chewy, relatively tender, and had a great flavour as well. also, side note - i think fufu is typically eaten with the hands, and i think you should try it this way to embrace the culture!
what i ordered was expensive - a little over 30$ for the meal with tip, though it is cheaper without the goat. also, it is probably 2-3 meals for a normal person. however, i didn't mind because i'm sure the ingredients are expensive to find in america, and it's hard to find african food around cambridge and it was realllllllllly delicious. i am not sure when i will have a chance to return, but i definitely would! please check this place out and...
