Pete Jones Barbecue — Restaurant in Ayden

I grew up in the area, well near by and my family always loved the bbq and it still tastes fairly well, still has somewhat of the taste i remembered. The young fellas that greeted me were very nice and respectful, yes ma'am, no ma'am etc. Love that southern respect 👏. But I must say that the corn bread has to be the worst I've ever tasted on earth in comparison to the bbq and Slaw, its not even worthy to be on the same tray I swear. I thought over the years someone would've told them how awful it taste but nope, to date they're still using that all purpose I guess. Good otherwise but do not, I repeat, do not get the corn bread. I told my husband it was horrible but he wanted to try it anyways and of course he regretted it after 1 bite. I guess Pete Jones says they come for the meat ma'am not the bread and I say hey if it keeps making dollars I guess it keeps making cents...

Amazing!!! I've been eating from Pete Jones Barbecue since I was a child. I'm sixty years old now. I remember Mr. Jones when he was working in the store. Now his grands are running it just like he was and his father before him.. He would be pride. The food has the same flavor. It's like when I was a child coming from Forth Barnville, NC.
