I wanted to write this review while I am still on cloud 9 after my dream wedding that occurred at the Beaumont Inn on June 24th, 2017. All of the stressful wedding planning was all worth it thinking back on how perfect our day was. I booked my wedding back in March 2016 when the new Grande Pavilion wasn't even a thought yet. Learning about the pavilion and all it had to offer was exciting! My husband was not pleased to learn that unfortunately we would not be having our wedding in it. I can't blame the Beaumont, it is not their faults, but honestly, I wanted it to be under the tent instead. In fact, during the reception, my husband said to me that he was so happy that it ended up being under the tent. It was absolutely gorgeous. The tent itself had beautiful draping from the ceiling, chandeliers, Italian string lights and flaps in case it rained. The ceiling is so high, it doesn't even feel like you are in a tent. They surely did not skimp on the tent setup despite being in the middle of building the pavilion and we of course were not charged for the tent. Rob Friedman personally called my husband when he knew for sure of the permit situation and was very willing to keep us updated. I enjoyed the placement of the tent which was right below the patio next to the creek. Everything was in close proximity. They setup a little lounge area closer to the creek for our guests to enjoy cigars we provided. It did actually pour during my reception for a little bit and the flaps were up and down within 5 minutes.
Now let's talk about the food. My food was phenomenal. My husband's food was phenomenal. My guests could not stop raving about the food. We chose a sit down dinner which was completely served to my 198 guests within 35 minutes. We choose the Black Angus New York strip steak with melted Gorgonzola and a demi glaze dinner, the grilled chicken and prosciutto with a wild mushroom veloute dinner and the shrimp gnocchi with Alfredo and cracked pepper dinner as choices. The appetizers were amazing as well. The mini cheese steaks were a big hit. I got the steak dinner and it was hot and cooked to perfection. What I could not finish they boxed up for me to take home so I could enjoy my wedding meal the next day too. Chef Jeff Huntzinger makes incredible food and you will not find better food for your large wedding anywhere else in this area. Not to mention he gets some of his fresh fruits and vegetables from his gardens on the property. I had a few vegetarian guests and they said their meals were huge and delicious.
My husband and I have been to the Beaumont for dinner many times before our wedding and fell in love with our waitress, Tracy. She is fantastic so I of course asked for her to be our waitress at the wedding. There was never a time I didn't have a drink in my hand. Even when I didn't realize I needed one, she had one for me. My family and my husband's family were also waited on by her and were in amazement at how efficient and kind and accommodating she was to everyone. She is such a sweetheart. When I got up to my room at the end of the night, everything was up there (my card box, bouquet, memory table pictures, signs I had made, my purse, flip flops) perfectly laid out throughout the room. Thank you so much Tracy!!
The grounds speak for themselves. The amount of gorgeous, vibrant flowers is breathtaking. It's just such a beautiful place and was what I dreamed of for my wedding venue. My ceremony was originally set to face the creek, but because of the unfinished pavilion in the background it was turned around and the guests were facing the bushes and walk way, which I loved. All 13 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen fit next to us and the pictures are beautiful.
Again, I can't say enough about the perfection that was my wedding day and how thankful I am to each and every person at the Beaumont who contributed! Love you guys and we will be seeing...
Read moreI usually don't travel that far up the line when it's cold out to explore the culinary findings of our area, but recently (finally!)got the chance to go with my other half. First off, I wish it was warmer and actually light out, there is a lot of nice detail about the property you can certainly miss in the dark. I believe the pictures from the past inside say that the Inn was built in 1949, and it shows. Cozy, classy, comfortable. Not too over the top. Welcoming! We were happy just showing up. We were greeted and seated in the dining room, not busy that night. Ordered drinks that I found very tasty(consistent with other Friedman's owned properties), and then started in on the food! I got the escargot, brie cheese appetizer, and sautéed spinach with garlic and chili flakes. I feel I can sample more different flavors when I combine small plates and call it a meal! Don't be afraid to try escargot at a place like this, they are cooked correctly...buttered, seasoned, and no, they don't taste fishy. I can't say that if maybe you get those things in a can. The brie is fantastic, currently served with pears and apple butter, perfectly sweet in its pastry wrapper. I hear this is a selection that gets recreated often with different flavors, I'm a fan! The spinach was good also although I thought it was missing something I couldn't put my finger on. Gone anyway! He got the sausage pappardelle, an excellent choice. I of course leaned over to steal a fork full, and we both loved the flavor. Creamy sauce, perfect pasta. I would love to go back and grab another round soon, because they have some items that other places simply don't offer. It was extremely tough to make up my mind! My only disappointment was with myself...I have one of the cards that Friedman's requires you to "collect" restaurant visits, and after you visit them all, you earn a gift certificate. The server didn't mention it, and I completely forgot, so I missed out on my "stamp." I guess I'll be going back sooner...
Read moreThis review is only for the restaurant area and not anything else. First, let me say that the only reason I give them two stars is the outdoor space (where we were seated) is absolutely beautiful. The gardens, the stream, the meadow with the forest beyond....who could ask for a better venue. However, unfortunately there is an “however”, the service was incredibly slow. Now I know, it’s hard getting people back to work these days and staff everywhere is in sort supply, but our experience was just soooo slooooooow it warrants special mention. The staff, when they were able to attend to our table, were quite pleasant, helpful and professional. They just need more of them. We were there rather early and we were only the second table to be seated, so there really is no excuse for such slow service. It’s not as if there were a hundred patrons at the restaurant.||The new outdoor “tent” under which we were seated and which you might think was put in place to keep the sun and the rain off of the dining public, unfortunately really only serves as a “hot house”. The roof is clear and the sun shown on our table so as to make three of the guests very uncomfortable and the rest of us considered leaving. Although there are umbrellas at each table, it is impossible to angle them to actually block the sun from the faces of half of the table.||Now about the food.....the steak was flavorful, cooked perfectly and very tender. The salmon was cooked just right and the accompanying sauce was very nice. The other food choices at our table were wagu burger and eggplant parmigiana. Both were reported to...
