The Greens at Irem Clubhouse, is located at the Irem Country Club in Dallas, Pennsylvania. It is  owned by the Friedman Hospitality Group, known for their fine dining venues. Management offers lunch, dinner and a Sunday brunch, as well as a Halfway House menu, where one can order handhelds, sides, and snacks while golfing. While we had only dinner at most of the Friedman restaurants, we decided to try The Greens for lunch. We arrived on time for our 12:30 p.m. reservation and were seated at the outside terrace, which we had solely to ourselves. The weather was cloudy but warm, and the terrace offered an elegant atmosphere, with grand views of the Wyoming Valley and a bit of the golf course. After a glass of wine, we selected a bowl of chili and tomato soup for an appetizer. The former was pasty but flavorful, with a mild spiciness. The soup was rich and creamy with large croutons added for extra flavor. We ordered the prime rib cheesesteak (one with and one without mushrooms), featuring a very fresh Amorosa bowl, onions, peppers, and provolone cheese. The dish was also served with a pickle spear, coleslaw, and a choice of french fries or homemade potato chips. She went with the former and I with the latter so we can sample both, The sandwich was almost overflowing with very tender prime rib and vegetables, and satisfied our appetite in a way that made our decision to forego dessert much easier. My only complaint was that the potato chips and french fries were a bit overdone, as I like mine more golden. I wouldn’t necessarily count this as a harsh critique – I know others who enjoy that style – but rather as an observation and making whoever reads more informed. All said, The Greens at Irem Clubhouse is a nice place where one can dress casually yet enjoy an above-average lunch amidst a graceful atmosphere. With the fall weather approaching, one can also eat indoors and enjoy a cocktail at the bar before or after their meal. I’m sure I’ll eventually come back to try the brunch after hearing a few complimentary opinions. There is also a pavilion next door for those wishing to hold events such as wedding receptions.

First dinner @ "The Greens at Irem Clubhouse" since the restaurant was taken over by Friedman Hospitality. The menu is diverse and the food was, as expected, good. Two of us at the table ordered the Drunken Scallops, the chardonnay reduction sauce was tasty with a large quantity of smaller Argentinian scallops. The Chicken and Crab was very good and would definitely be ordered again. The Teriyaki Salmon with Shrimp was maybe the only iffy dinner as the salmon was dryer than expected. Definitely recommend the Peanut Butter Pie with whip cream. Prices are reasonable, drinks and deserts are on the higher price side.

New Year's Eve dinner service was inconsistent. Food was pretty boring. It was much better last year.

We attended the Easter Buffet, and were very unhappy with it. While the service, soup, salad and cheeses were fine, the Prime Rib was tough, the turkey "deli quality" and barely warm. Vegetables were likewise barely warm. Desserts, specifically Carrot Cake, ran out. There were some other offerings. People waited in line for clean plates. For such a "build up", it was definitely a let down. We do not plan on returning.

Now, Feb of 2024, we've been back to the Brunch Buffet on Sunday after Church on a few occasions and found it to be a very pleasant dining experience. We highly...
